A commenter on the StarTribune website said she and her kid were upgraded from the balcony to the main floor because the the projector system took up their seats in the balcony. Maybe this this was the kid you saw? Perhaps the upgrades extended a bit beyond people who where displaced by the projector, but I have a hard time believing the band would pander to people based solely upon their age and/or physical appearance.

It was a festival. They were only allotted 90 minutes to play.

By my count, eleven of the 21 songs played tonight were not played either of the first two nights of the tour. Plus, four songs that were played at the both the first two shows, were not played tonight. How is that predictable?

It actually uses the data in Wilcobase for all of the old set lists. But since Wilcobase hasn't been updated in about a year-and-a-half, all of those set lists are missing from wilcoworld.net too. But it seems someone at wilcoworld.net is updating for the the current tour, so it could replace Wilcobase for future shows.

That date in Austin is a regular concert at the new Moody Theater, it's not a taping for the Austin City Limits TV show. If you check out the ACL website, they tell you which dates are show tapings and which are regular concerts.

WilcoHQ tweeted that it will be "Deeper Down." Unfortunately, all TV networks employ censors. Obviously there's no way to know for sure, but I have a (not so sunny) feeling that the lawyers who work in Standards and Practices at CBS, aka the censors, wouldn't clear a song about a serial killer (BBN) or a song containing the line, "It didn't feel like the wrong time or place, until they cut off her clothes" (Sonny Feeling).

I think people misunderstood (no pun intended) Jeff's comments about the "hits." He wasn't referring to the entire set list, but specifically to "You Never Know" and "HMD" being played back-to-back. Saying, "These are our hits. All two of them. Or maybe one and a half." Greg Kot's review from the Tribune

Random observations (non-music related): They had porta-potties outside for people who lined up early. How thoughtful. A woman from the Pavilion announced to the people standing in line, “No digital photography tonight! Only disposable cameras will be allowed.” There were approximately 147 people in my immediate area taking digital photos. And the person right in front of me was shooting a cell phone video. Just got home and my ears are still ringing. First off, nothing really "special" about the show since it was in Chicago. Pretty standard set list. Not that that's a bad thing. Someone else will have to post the complete list because I never took the pen and paper out of my pocket. "It's Just that Simple" and "Just a Kid" made the cut tonight and those were really the only two songs that haven't been played at a lot of recent shows.
