I really hope it's not the last weekend in July, or any summer weekend at this point. Getting rooms to stay would be tough by this point for a summer weekend in the Berkshires.

On the MunckMusic site, there's an option for immediate download of each show. When I bought the Nels show they weren't selling the discs yet.

I bought the Nels show, flacs. Nels comes out starting with Dreams, and best I can tell takes the solo that starts at the 5:00 minute mark. I think.

Doesn't exactly fit the criteria, but was watching the most recent House of Lies and one of the guys said " turn your frown upside down.". I have some live show, must be a Tweedy show (from D.C. I think) where he banters about being embarrassed by that lyric. So that qualifies as a " Wilco heard while out and about", I think.

Just watched the slideshow, set to Jack Straw. Love those photos. The next week at Roosevelt Stadium was my first proper Dead show, these photos really bring me back to what was a great time.

I may agree with that, but have you seen the extra footage on disc 2 of the DVD release of The GD Movie? Straight out uninterrupted footage of them playing, without the cutaways, interviews, etc of the movie. I'm away from my house now and can't remember what's on there (I think a China/Rider, Other One, a Mind Left Body jam?) but i know it's Outstanding footage from a classic run of shows.

Everything about that Veneta show is off the hook great. The word has always been that Garcia was heavily dosed that day, and watching him play in that Sunshine Daydream movie, he certainly has the look of a man deep into some Lysergic. So many highlights in that show: China/Rider, Greatest Story, Playin, jack Straw, the naked guy in the tree behind Garcia...

I saw a good video of that, I think it was posted on Hidden Track, you'll find it on YouTube I'm sure.

Today I treated myself and picked up the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab pressing of Wake of the Flood (limited edition number 000819 for you sports fans keeping score at home). All I can say is "holy shit!". I'm now going to have to go get me the MoFi pressing of Live Dead. Like right away.
