I have friends who are big fans, I'm sure they will be at Thunder Road tonight. Explains why they're not going to HOB.

I think it's an anti-scalping move by the band, or maybe the Beacon. I can't give them a hard time if that's what it is. When they played the Wang in Boston on the Whole Love tour, there were no tickets, everyone had to show up as a "will-call." It was a pain for people going in groups to have everyone together, but again, that was an anti-scalper technique. I give them credit for trying.

Unlike any other TM purchase, I also could not print at home or e-transfer my tickets. Could only use mobile app. As I have extras to get to friends and family, I had to get on the phone with TM and have them manually change the delivery method to mail me physical tickets, which I have now received. It's a pain to have to do that, but it can be done.

I can't say what the "best ever" version of Dark Star is. There are too many of them and I haven't given them all a serious listen. Too subjective anyway. I can say this is my favorite DS version. Everything about it is just perfect. Probably my favorite Dark Star sequence is also from the Fillmore East, 4-28-71. That Dark Star>St. Stephen>NFA>GDTRFB>NFA is pure gold.

Spent some time with an old friend this morning. The Dark Star>Other One>Lovelight sequence from 2-13-70 Fillmore East. It was a very nice reunion

As opposed to a multi-night run in the same city, where the band assumes most of the audience is different from night to night, it's a captive audience at SS. Wonder if Friday will be a special show.

The XRT stream worked beautifully, so thanks to Wilco and XRT for making that possible. Of course, it doesn't replace Being There, but made for great night in our home for my wife and me. I have tons of Roadcases, but there's something different about listening live while it's happening, especially as the live feed includes much more of the audience energy than the soundboard releases do. Loved the show. I've come to accept the structure of the shows, hey they have 2 new albums to play. My only problem with Wilco shows is there's never a bathroom song

Happens every show. I give it a few minutes, and then just lean in and ask the talkers to "turn down the volume." They usually get the hint and shut up. I used to be more antagonistic, but found that this simple request works without inciting push back.
