  1. Isbell with the Truckers last night at the Ryman https://www.jambase.com/article/jason-isbell-reunites-drive-by-truckers-nashville https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBWfhiLKUPQ
  2. Damn, not going this year as I have a wedding in CA later in May. And double damn, they're playing second weekend which is when we always go. I don't think having Dave and Tim on the same day is much of an issue re: crowd size etc. Wouldn't stop me from going.
  3. Confirmed all over the place now: http://consequenceofsound.net/2017/01/r-i-p-butch-trucks-founding-member-and-drummer-of-allman-brothers-band-has-died/
  4. I heard that last ight from a friend who's friend lives in his building and is friends with Butch and his wife. Was hoping it was fake news.
  5. Dave's Picks Vol. 21, Boston Garden 4/2/1973. From the 10" master reels. I love everything GD '73. http://www.dead.net/store/special-edition-shops/daves-picks-volume-21?cmpid=dn/2017January24/SeasideChat-WatchHere-main-more-1&eml=2017January24/3870287/6131962&etsubid=27625223
  6. I would like to be talking about the actual lineup
  7. Pretty much an accurate write up of the first album. http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/22733-the-grateful-dead-50th-anniversary-deluxe-edition/
  8. Someone please get Bob a good taper ticket! We'll all reap the benefit
  9. I have an extra pair Row C in the balcony. Send me a PM if interested
  10. That may be the smallest drum kit I've seen. As far as I could see, he had just a bass drum and snare, along with cymbals. Is that right?
  11. They've been doing this combo tour for years. The Middle East in Cambridge is a regular stop on this tour. They always come here in the dead of winter, always a freezing cold January night. Unfortunately for me, this year the show's on a Saturday night and my wife has no interest so I will take a pass. I hate to miss them. I like hearing/seeing Camper, but I love Cracker. Pretty much every song. Plus, they have Johnny! Interesting guy that Lowery. Math genius by day, rock n roll guitar player by night.
  12. Wow. I keep hearing about him and have friends who are really into him, but I've never had a chance to listen or see him. Those were quite the performances. He's now on my radar.
  13. A 4 part interview with Hood and Cooley posted on YouTube. Craig Finn asks the questions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAsnpNyUd1I&index=2&list=TLGGITVCD3RWSgExMTAxMjAxNw
  14. So I was sure I wasn't going to do the Dave's Picks subscription this year. But today they just announced the second release, Felt Forum 12/7/71, to go along with the already announced Boston 4/2/73 show. So I'm in for the series.
  15. I had no idea they previously played Hoodoo. Nor was I aware they played in a band with Gordon. Thx for the info!
  16. Definitely looking forward to Ryan Adams and Beck. Hope to have something new from Courtney. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
