  1. They had me at Wilco x2 and Tweedy, so the rest is gravy. But I do find the lineup intriguing and not at all a middle age white guy festival as was written. Charles Lloyd and King Sunny Ade, never saw either of them coming and am psyched to have some great jazz, and King Sunny speaks for himself. I'm also a huge Richard Thompson fan, that wasn't a surprise but am really happy nonetheless. Lots of music I'm not familiar with, Jessica Pratt, Mac Demarco, William Tyler. And some bands to get my 25 year old son (a huge Wilco fan) to come up from DC to attend: Real Estate, Parquet Courts and De
  2. What a fun evening! Excellent lineup, lots of variety. Right on Wilco! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Charles Lloyd adn King Sunny, big surprises, great adds
  4. I think we can pretty much scratch MMJ off the list http://www.jambase.com/Articles/124213/My-Morning-Jacket-Announce-New-Album-and-Massive-Tour
  5. What a great email! Who's better than Wilco!
  6. Quiet morning in the house with my wife out and I don't have to work for the first day in 3 weeks, spinning the Dark Star vinyl of Olympia Theater 5/14/72. Sounds great. They take this version deep!
  7. Solid Sound just responded to a post on its FB page asking about the lineup announcement as follows: "expecting to have it out there in the next week or so..."
  8. I know this is the GD topic, not the GD cover bands topic, but JRAD uploaded this Help>Slip>Shakedown video yesterday to Russo's YouTube channel, I think it's fantastic. These guys live up to any buzz you've heard about them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IxTno9Qncc
  9. I'm in. Or I should say my request to join is "pending." Hope I make the cut! Love the cover photo!

  11. Left out one of my wishes, Los Lobos. During his courtyard set in 2013 Hidalgo commented how much he liked playing that venue.
  12. This is what was going down at 12:30 a.m. Inside the Paradise this morning http://youtu.be/YCRsqgZZI30 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. JRAD, same songs, but so different from anything else. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. That show was AMAZING! What a band. Russo totally rules, incredible drummer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Excellent investigation techniques! Richard Thompson, Real Estate, Jessica Pratt...
  16. Not to be hypertechnical, my memory is that each past SS ended Sunday afternoon. I'm figuring something like a 2:00 Tweedy etc show to close it out.
  17. Joe Russo's Almost Dead. Been looking forward to seeing these guys since their first gig in Brooklyn. Very psyched.
  18. I didn't know him personally, but feel like he was part of the "community" I engage with. Big time music fan and taper, I'm sure I have or have listened to lots of his shows. He and his wife spent lots of nights at the Brooklyn Bowl and Cap Theater, and going to JazzFest. My kind of people. Terrible tragedy for all involved.
