  1. Streaming live either Sunday (headline) or Saturday (body or article) http://www.jambase.com/Articles/123454/Couch-Tour-Alert-Wilco-Live-From-Chicago-This-Sunday
  2. Did they play as the "J.Geils Band"? Without Geils. It's widely known there was a lot of antagonism between Wolf and Geils over the split up, to the point where Jay Geils could not perform under the name "J. Geils."
  3. No way to pick just one. I went to only one, but consider all 3 as "must haves." If for any reason you're only going to purchase just one, might as well spin the bottle on that decision and whichever comes up you'll be fine.
  4. Thanksgiving and healing love to Sue and the entire Tweedy clan!
  5. I only know of Return of the Grievous Angel. Which I love, Didn't know there was another one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_of_the_Grievous_Angel:_A_Tribute_to_Gram_Parsons
  6. Not only that, but Phil Lesh and Friends was moving into the Cap the next night to start his weekend residency, so many saw it as a touching "handoff" to Phil and the Dead crowd. A hugely classy move by Wilco to my eyes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Did you see this Philly show? http://www.stereogum.com/1720422/watch-ryan-adams-berate-a-fan-after-her-camera-flash-triggers-menieres-episode/video/
  8. For someone who seemed so old at the time, looking back he was so freaking young. Ugh.
  9. I obviously don't read enough of Pitchfork.
  10. I had no idea Pitchfork had a writer who is a huge Phish fan. I was surprised to read this Tweedy quote: "Even the singer himself recently admitted that their last record, 2011’s The Whole Love, "was taken for granted a little bit, not necessarily by critics, maybe by ourselves." They toured extensively behind the album and I never detect any ambivalence when they play those songs. I like TWL a lot, one of my faves.
  11. I always park in the open air lot next ro Boston Beer Works any time I go to HOB. Easy in, easy out. I will be at the Orpheum tonight, have fun everybody.
  12. Lucinda tonight. Tough going back to back and having to work too!
  13. Whoa, what was going on in the orchestra? We were in second row of balcony and couldn't tell. Is Ryan always that way with his stage talk? First time seeing him. Some serious cursing at an audience member. The music was fantastic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. He has a song called "Chrissie Hynde." Geez, he has to be great! https://www.youtube.com/user/butchwalker
  15. I was trying to figure out about the opener, Butch Walker. I don't know anything about him, but in a Rolling Stone piece just the other day: "as a solo artist regularly delivers one of the most thrilling live concert experiences,"
  16. Big expansion plans for MassMoCA, set to open in May 2017. Wonder what that means for any chance of a SS in '16? Which would be an "off" year anyway if they keep to an every other year rotation. Surprised no mention of SS in this article. http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/2014/11/16/mass-moca-unveils-expansive-vision-for-future-including-artists-laurie-anderson-jenny-holzer-rauschenberg-bourgeois-james-turrell/oPu459PK72ZJUIYd15HmbL/story.html#comments
  17. After 2015, and during, I assume we're going to get a lot of Phil and Friends shows at the Cap and Terrapin
  18. Excellent write up in today's Boston Globe. This writer gets it. http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/music/2014/11/15/two-retrospectives-look-wilco-long-journey-mainstream/YggSOjgzPrctCfJwr7lQ8K/story.html
  19. I thought about buying it for the same reason. Now I think about buying copies to give as gifts to my friends who have never been exposed to enough Wilco. But back to AMF, through disc 1 and definitely glad to have this beauty. Every thing about it, the music, the box and the writings in the book. Especially Jeff's liner notes. 20. Must be only the vinyl. No serial numbers on the cd box set. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. My memory is the $699 early bird VIP was only $100 more than a regular 4 day pass without camping. Believe me, best $699 I've spent. Can't compare the cost to SS, did you look at the number of bands and number of hours of music at Lockn'? It was unreal.
  22. Hey Bosco, which of the Roadcase releases do you think sound better? I don't ask as a challenge to your opinion, but because I want to make sure I have them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I would not saying anything that could be construed as negative towards A.M., love it and am consistently happy with how well the songs hold up. But, if I had to pick one, Being There remains my favorite and the one I still listen to the most. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
