  1. One of my friends felt the same way, but I'm in the opposite camp. I love his enthusiasm for the music and playing. To me he looks like someone who is having so much fun. Totally into the music. I'm actually jealous! And I enjoy his bass playing.
  2. Playing this pretty much nonstop all weekend since seeing the show on Friday. Seeing the songs live has really made the record "pop" for me. So many great new songs bouncing around in my head. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. 20 years, seems like only yesterday. As soon as it hit, Loved that this album had some big time rockers on it and a big sound. Although from start to finish it's not one of their stronger albums from the day. Will listen again today. I've posted this somewhere here, but I took on the project this summer of reading the R.E.M. biography, Perfect Circle, and listening to each album as I read along. My wife and I were onto the band just about as soon as Radio Free Europe started getting college radio play here in Boston, which was right at the beginning of our relationship. Was great fun t

  5. Haven't seen your other post, sounds like you have more important things to concern yourself with, so I don't want to bethe one to tell you that you'll be pissed. Best wishes to you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. What a fun night! Jeff was hilarious despite not feeling well. There was a "Tweedy Nurse" in the audience. Jeff said his wife would not approve. The band sounded awesome, those new songs really come alive with the full band. Some part of that had to the result of hearing music in the Berklee Performance Center. What an amazing sounding room. Hearing My Darling was a big surprise. My friend got the song request list, it was on there 469 times or something like that. Jeff asked the requestor to identify him/herself. Nobody owned up to it. The acoustic portion started with Via Chicago,
  7. I thought for sure you would be #4.

  11. It's "An Evening With." Has to mean no opener. The last Evening With show I saw in 2010 was off the hook great. That's why I'm coming down from Boston. And the fact I've wanting to get to the Cap since it reopened. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Speaking of listening to shows we were at, got in my car the other day and the Sirius GD station was playing Uptown Theater Chicago, 11-18-78 as the full show of the day. Right in the middle of Fire. I couldn't get out of my car until the show finished. That was a memorable weekend. I was in college in St. Louis and a bunch of us took several cars up for the drive to Chicago for the weekend of shows at the Uptown. One of my good buddies from home came in from Ann Arbor. Crammed a lot of us into 2 adjoining hotel rooms on the Loop. The electricity was running rampant. Great shows at a gr
  13. I think it's in the Solid Sound discussion thread, but a couple months ago I tracked down the video production company and they responded to my email and assured me the Solid Sound movie was being actively worked on every day.
  14. Always love a good couch tour night, and that was a good one!
  15. Late to the party, tuned in for the last full band song before he went solo. Now just found this thread. Have it playing on the big screen and stereo system. Production's been great, music fantastic. Loved this song (Give Back the Key to my Heart) at Lockn' with Willie Nelson's harmonica player. I'm good with the Lucius singers.
  16. Fantastic interview! One of the best I've read. Particularly liked the last paragraph about the dynamics in a Wilco show. Perfectly said. Kudos!
  17. I loved it. First time I've watched a performance of any of the new material, the songs really stood out to me. Plus, we got to hear Jeff's and Spencer's plans for ISIS!
  18. The writer called Sukierae a "two disc tour de force." (just put that in the other thread before seeing this one) Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk
  19. That's not really a proper record review, but an interview with Jeff about the songwriting process. But that line is accurately quoted.

  21. I heard some of 12-30-82 today on Sirius, mostly Franklin's. That's an era I was off the bus and never listen to. It was fantastic. I agree with Raspberry, has always frustrated me that Sirius doesn't identify individual songs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Speaking of Brent, Relix reposted this the other day http://www.relix.com/articles/detail/the-brent-mydland-years-an-appreciation-of-the-grateful-dead-in-the-1980-s Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk
