  1. $13K for general admission pit tickets???!!!!????? http://www.stubhub.com/the-grateful-dead-tickets/the-grateful-dead-chicago-soldier-field-7-4-2015-9220596/
  2. I still think the 7.18.1972 dark star (10 minutes before verse) may be the best Jerry soloing I've heard...
  3. Yes - hilarious...reminds me of this classic Simpsons bit... http://youtu.be/aIzskhrx7jU
  4. Another variation of the Sans Garcians.... "last ever performance together" likely could be interpreted as the specific lineup including Trey... three nights at soldier field for at least $100 / ticket ($200 for better seat)...if they sell out one of the shows I'll be surprised... Good for them though....50 years is a long time...
  5. I've heard Hopkins was floridly intoxicated for nearly that whole tour... 22 November 1975 was highly exceptional...
  6. Easily one of the finest shows of 1979...May 7, 1979... https://archive.org/details/gd79-05-07.glassberg.vernon.18877.sbeok.shnf
  7. email me at ragoetz@casimirjones.com if interested...
  8. PM me if interested in 1, 2, 3, or 4 of them...
  9. watching the "view from the vault" for 08 July 1990 Pittsburgh - amazing show, but gosh darn is it frustrating to have the apex of the second set jams (e.g., eyes of the world post verse two jam) supplanted for the "psychedelic" effects...ouch! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39eGr8vLnKo
  10. listening to 07-08-1990 Pittsburgh...amazing Let it Grow....better than the 07-07-89 version of Let it Grow? Are there better 1990 or 1989 Let it Grows than these two versions? Maybe 2-10-1989?
  11. Ya... The colgate show had some good moments, but others from that era are much better and are in need of quality upgrade....like 15 October 1977 ---- in my opinion the best second set of 1977...
  12. Interesting comments regarding 9/20/74. I tend to agree. i think there were some great 1974 moments (e.g., 5.19.1974, 6.16.1974, 6.18.1974, 6.20.1974, 6.23.1974, 7.19.1974, 10.16.1974 pitb, 10.19.1974 eyes) but it also had some real dud shows. It could have been many things or a nice mixture, but to me the band sounded a bit tired, over-drugged, or bored. Listening to 05 October 2001 Wilco....man - they were really really playing well with the scaled down band...
  13. listening to it now....the aud portion is a really nice addition...This used to be one of my favorite cassette tapes (UDXLIIs)...WRS through the OMSN...
  14. really wish the band would release November 2001 through 2002 shows...
  15. matrix of 19 May 1974... https://archive.org/details/gd1974-05-19.131464.mtx.dusborne.flac16
