  1. Westerberg does a nice version on Come Feel Me Tremble.
  2. 50th anniversary re-issue of Workingman's Dead (with Port Chester, NY 2/21/71 as bonus material) coming in July: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/grateful-dead-workingmans-dead-50-anniversary-reissue-994855/
  3. Don't know why it took me all of these years to listen to this podcast but it's great. Wasn't expecting to have all three members participate. And I knew this but I had forgotten how prolific they were. In 2 1/2 years (July 84 through January 87) they put out five albums including two double albums.
  4. If Chloroquine doesn't work, maybe some Robert Quine will. (Thanks, I'll be here all week ...)
  5. I have had one show rescheduled from May to August, one in June cancelled, and two in June rescheduled to January 2021.
  6. Ha! Eno/Jarrett all day and Prince all night!
  7. Yeah, it's tough. It's so good but so sad. Put this on for the first time in a while. When I need an early REM fix I tend to go for any of the three before this.

He wrote: "Thoughts about our Dad, Avery Stirratt III, who passed peacefully Friday the 10th from cancer. A dedicated family man, and source of stability and unwavering optimism for his family and friends. Lifelong New Orleanian, he and my mother busting their humps with 5 kids, and after losing her in 92, jumping back into music and the instrument, and for the next 29 years playing weekly with his NO banjos +2, up until his last show March 8th. Their weekly shows at usually restaurant venue
  9. Hardly Getting Over It sounds pretty good these days ...
  10. Can't say that I blame your mother. I saw some good shows there (REM in '90, Dylan/Petty, Lou Reed, Radiohead) but getting in and out of there was a pain.
  11. Mine was a few months after that one. Boston University in August of '85. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/rem/1985/walter-brown-arena-boston-ma-73d6facd.html Next time was November of '86. The Feelies opened and it was my first time seeing them. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/rem/1986/felt-forum-new-york-ny-1bd6f954.html
