  1. From Hitchcock's FB post: "Stars of Joy - I’m opening for Wilco at their first two Chicago shows this December! These will be festive nights, which I will do my best to garnish with Brit dismalia. There’s some ‘family’ links between us: Scott McCaughey has worked extensively with us both; Pat Sansone plays on my new single; and in his Uncle Tupelo days, Jeff Tweedy recorded I Wanna Destroy You with his then-colleague Jay Farrar. Plus it’s always a major groove playing Chicago - yaysville! Thanks, fellas..."
  2. Ha! I'll pass along the message ...
  3. Oh yeah. I remember hearing about that - and also thinking what a drag it would be to have a row of 6"10" inch guys standing in front of you!
  4. Is it weird that there's an autographed picture of Larry Bird in the middle of Jerry's stuff? (I'm assuming that it wasn't his ...)
  5. Sounds about right. And he left the stage when they were not playing his songs, right?
  6. I'd never say "fully" with that band but is does appear he's not part of the new record or the tour. He wasn't part of the last NP show that I saw but they still played a couple of his songs.
  7. Weird - because I read online that "Whoever their Pollster is, they suck!"
  8. I was just looking at the Record Store Day release list and there's a 7-inch coming out with Nick Lowe's original Cruel to be Kind on the A-side and Lowe and Wilco performing it live (from 2012) on the B-side. https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/11876
  9. Luna (playing Penthouse and more)
  10. Ha! I only saw that after the fact. How ya holding up?
  11. They [stereolab] were great. I had never seen them but it was wonderful.
  12. Saw them last night - and they played this whole album (though not front to back).
  13. The White House put together talking points for congressional Republicans to use in their defense of Trump and then emailed them to the Democrats too. (And then sent a a "recall" email ...)
  14. Hunter was probably the first show I went to in a club/bar. I was still in high school and used my sister's boyfriend's ID. We looked nothing alike. The bouncer looked at the ID, looked back at me, then back to the ID. He smiled and let me come in.
  15. Nick Cave (An Evening of Talk & Music ...)
