  1. I was 6th in line at 9:15. Got my wristband and getting some coffee now.
  2. I can't make the show at night so I may try to go to this ...
  3. Just watched the new Ricky Gervais show After Life - and thought it was great.
  4. I would never put this album in my list of top ten favorites but I also think it is sort of a perfect album. I don't think there's a bad note on it.
  5. Agreed. It really is an amazing show.
  6. I am about halfway through this and it's pretty great. It does a really nice job of explaining the big picture of The Troubles but also pointing out how it impacted everyday life for people in Northern Ireland.

  8. Sometimes I forget how incredible this album is. The Great Curve just came up on shuffle and I put aside what I was doing just to listen.
  9. My wife and I are watching a show that some of you might like. It's called Breaking Bad. It's about a high school chemistry teacher in New Mexico who is diagnosed with cancer and starts to manufacture crystal meth ... (But seriously, I'm not sure why we never watched it when it was originally on. It's not the kind of thing that she typically likes but she's totally hooked.)

  11. Sad to report that the woman my wife cares for decided at the last minute that she wasn't up for the concert. We ate crappy Chinese food in her assisted living facility instead.
  12. Aside from their big hits I actually don't know them at all. Maybe it will be great.
  13. My best hope is that it will end early.
  14. Three Dog Night! (My wife is a companion/aid to a woman in her late 70s who is a big fan and she got us three tickets to see the show...)
  15. "Biggest mystery in Japan right now is how a 1994 song from Dinosaur Jr (Over Your Shoulder) topped the Billboard Overseas charts last week, beating out the likes of Ariana Grande and Queen. It also also topped the video charts with over 8 million views on YouTube." https://twitter.com/Patrick_Macias/status/1093837125554860032
  16. Ha! Glad you are liking them. The next step is to see them live (but you pretty much have to live on the I-95 corridor between Washington DC and Boston).
  17. I started seeing the Dead in '80 and I didn't see a Morning Dew until '82 - and the place went nuts. They were a rare treat during the period when I saw lots of shows ('80-'86).
  18. We watched it last night and it is bonkers. The parents certainly were naive but the criminal justice system didn't help much either.
  19. I'd say it was more miss than hit but one of my colleagues is trying to convince me that he loves watching defensive football so in his mind it was a great game.
  20. Is it the Julee Cruise song from Twin Peaks?
  21. New William Tyler. I really like this guy.
