  1. I did that one too - only I got maybe 15 seconds with him. It was a weird event ...
  2. Cohen's third client is Sean Hannity? That is rich ...
  3. Why yes, yes you do. They changed a bit after Crazy Rhythms and introduced some acoustic guitar but both The Good Earth and Only Life are top notch.
  4. Yeah I got it right when I moved to NYC in the fall of '86. It totally brings me back to walking all over New York with my walkman, just wandering aimlessly listening to music until I had to get more batteries.
  5. Thanks! It was sort of interesting, particularly to see who got involved and who didn't. Waiting 20 minutes in 39 degree weather while the umps sorted out who was being tossed wasn't my favorite part.
  6. Was at the Red Sox-Yankees game last night - and realized that in all my years of going to baseball games I had never seen a bench clearing brawl.
  7. Happy birthday r.e.m.! Played their first show 38 years ago today.
  8. Bigmouth Strikes Again. Great song.

  10. Thanks for the report. Looks awesome. I'm going tonight in Boston.
  11. How were they? I'm going tomorrow night ...
  12. Congrats to you. That must be a great experience.
  13. I've been watching Wild Wild Country, the Netflix documentary about the Rajneesh. I remember some of it while it was happening but had no idea about how crazy it really was. It has a great soundtrack too.
  14. Interesting piece on Betty Cantor and other women in the Dead's inner circle: https://www.npr.org/2018/03/20/593958534/do-you-want-to-talk-to-the-man-in-charge-or-the-woman-who-knows-what-s-going-on
  15. Glad you enjoyed it. I keep it on my coffee table and still pick it up and just flip through it. I'm always seeing different things in her drawings. And good point about the non-New Yorker view of NYC. I think a native New Yorker might have a different take and might not be as fascinated by some of the detail of the city.
  16. Looking forward to that. And I've got tickets to see them in a few weeks!
  17. I just finished reading that and thought it was great. I'm from Cambridge/Boston so a lot of the history was fascinating. I definitely learned a lot.
  18. Agreed. She's one of my favorite singers/performers but it's not the greatest artwork ...
  19. I heard the Maron podcast and agreed it was great. Lots of funny stories form both of them. I really like the new record. It's got a couple of just classic sounding Buffalo Tom songs, including All Be Gone. It closes with a nice cover of Simon and Garfunkel's Only Living Boy in New York. If you are already a fan, you will like this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG-p98KNCX4
  20. Enjoying the new Buffalo Tom album.
  21. Posted elsewhere but Neko Case has a new one coming out on June 1.
