  1. I was just thinking the same thing. For years I have taken a walk or two a day (as part of my commute or just to get out) and listened to music. These days I mostly listen to podcasts when I walk. Early in the pandemic I was also using my home computer which has tons of music on it but now I'm using a work computer which doesn't.
  2. Yes - I went back to the Color of Water because I had read both Deacon King Kong and The Good Lord Bird last year and really liked them. (And I actually thought the showtime version of The Good Lord Bird was pretty good.)
  3. I'm a big fan of the Sodajerker podcast where two guys from Liverpool talk with songwriters about songwriting. Jeff was on the most recent episode: https://www.sodajerker.com/episode-184-jeff-tweedy/
  4. I still get a rush at the opening notes of Harborcoat.
  5. One of my favorite albums from last year was Tanya Donelly and the Parkington Sisters. It's all covers and it's great.
  6. Watched this for the first time in a while (maybe since it came out) and, for me, it holds up.
  7. I'm a little late to the game but we just watched Portrait of a Lady on Fire and thought it was great.
  8. Leroy Bach was in the band at that time (playing guitar, keyboards, and background vocals).
  9. Chez - right back atcha. Yes, I really liked Ryan's book. I was born and raised in the Boston area (and am still here) so much of what he wrote really resonated. I learned a lot about Van Morrison and the weird stuff going on in Boston/Cambridge at the time. Highly recommend the book.
  10. That album and Tiny Cities were really big for me (but I have a tough time listening to Kozelek now).
  11. Apparently ed fromohio is having a tough time: https://www.gofundme.com/f/ed-fromohio-firehose-crawford-needs-our-help
  12. Linking threads, wasn't that the top selling album of all time at Other Music?
