  1. See my comment above. They just posted tonight's times on Twitter and Facebook.
  2. Wilco just tweeted a change in set times for tonight. Probably to try to skirt the rain. Nick Lowe 6pm Wilco 7pm
  3. From the LA Times review: "Wilco made "The Whole Love" available for streaming on its website a month before its release, and Tweedy spent the weekend watching fan comments arrive." Maybe he was following our thread?
  4. I thought it was fun but it's not going to help tone down the Dad Rock comments.
  5. I loved those older stripped down shows too. There was something so pure about them that made me love Wilco even more but I find myself enjoying the stage sets and lights now, however choreographed they may be. But I get why some don't dig it.
  6. I could do without the Jesus, etc. sing-a-long. Once was enough on that. I also agree that I'd like to see them close out with something else. It is getting beyond predictable. The have a ton of great songs to choose from, so it would be nice to see them change that up. I kinda liked the lights though...and the band is, as you say, incredible so it's always a great show no matter.
  7. I actually listened to that song on the way home last night.
  8. I think this may have been the best show that I've been to. The night didn't start out that way at all though. I'm not a big fan of Summerstage and all of the reasons why were present right from the start. Long lines to get in, to get a wristband, for a beer, for food, for the port-a-potty that was already out of toilet paper, etc. It made me appreciate even more, all of the details and organization that goes into making Solid Sound the great festival that it is. It was really crowded and I started out in the back where the sound was too low and I couldn't see a thing. Wilco came on and open
  9. Amazing show with no rain! One of the best shows I've been to. The set list was killer. Tweedy's kids got up on stage during ITMWLY - Sammy dancing around Jeff and Spencer filming them. So fun. More tomorrow.
  10. They almost always do Jesus. etc. for the New York crowd.
  11. I suck at making lists but I've got some spare time so, here goes: 1.a. Who is your favorite American band/solo act/ensemble/dance troupe/whatever label applies that is currently "active" (meaning - still making records or still touring)? Wilco 1.b. If you answered Wilco, besides Wilco. Flaming Lips 2. Who are in your top 10 American acts all time? The Replacements Wilco Howe Gelb Flaming Lips Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Beck The Band Johnny Cash Patti Smith Calexico 3. In my top 10, all world, all time list, half are American. (American in bold) The Replacements Neil You
  12. I endured...and it WAS a great show but I'm not really up for a repeat of that.
  13. It's not going to rain tonight. It's not going to rain tonight. It's not going to rain tonight. It's not going to rain tonight. It's not going to rain tonight. It's not going to rain tonight. It's not going to rain tonight.
  14. Oh, thanks for clarifying. I remember your photos from Solid Sound was confused when I saw this post.
  15. OK, so they are playing it for the third time. This could be a problem. I'm seeing them tomorrow and Friday so I don't really need to watch again but it just seems so wrong to turn it off.
  16. That sounded pretty good tonight. I think you might be right. Except I'm always wrong.
  17. I agree. I felt that way hearing some of the older stuff at Solid Sound. They sound so fresh. I love it.
  18. I did that too and I'm really not looking for a repeat in Central Park. Damn. I'd love an indoor show.
