  1. One ticket has been sold. I have one left.
  2. One of my all time favorite movies.
  3. My husband played that for me at our wedding.
  4. The Lonely 1 is in my top 10 Wilco songs and I am not hurt by your comments...really, I'm not.
  5. Please don't let it be that.
  6. Casino Queen is kinda hot.
  7. Band on the Run was the first record I ever bought with my own money. I remember sitting on my front porch spinning it on my little record player.
  8. I've never seen Star Wars. That seems to freak a lot of people out.
  9. I never put those two songs together. I just did a little search and this was on Song Meanings. Kinda makes sense to me because I always got hung up on the gold lame' part for Westerberg. rrstrick 09-17-2011 I always thought this was about Neil Young. The instrumental phrase that leads in at the beginning and reoccurs throughout is from a Neil Young song. When Neil Young does live shows he steps out into a spotlight with his band behind him. He also has a gold lame guitar strap. Plus he went through a mid-career slump when critics didn't like him anymore (but has since made a comeback).
  10. Hmmmm. Interesting. He was on my list of possibilities. Do you know this for sure (did you read this somewhere), or is this just your feeling?
  11. Yeah I realized that later. I think the way Mikael is leaning made it look like that to me at first.
  12. I always wonder about that (and also who Radio King was written about as well).
  13. I don't see Jeff ever calling it a day. I picture him playing on just like Neil Young. Also the quote makes it seem like he'd be okay with a line up change as long as John stayed, so I don't see why you'd think think he'd pack it in.
  14. John and Glenn are essential. Yes. I meant to include this in my earlier post but got confused on how to multi-quote.
  15. Maybe I should clarify that Nels didn't write that guitar part.
  16. But, you see, Nels didn't write that song either. He plays the songs incredibly, no doubt.
  17. I've been reluctant to reply to this topic because of the 'lambasting'. In fact, I've typed replies several times and then deleted them all before posting because there are some topics on this board that are like pouring gasoline on a fire. I'm not sure why it's not okay with some people to discuss these things but I guess I understand people's need to defend the things they love. But, anyway, I have had this discussion with my husband who is also a big Wilco fan since way back. I'm not a guitar player (my husband is) so I can't say this with any authority but I understand that people feel N
  18. I may be one of the few who will get this so, I'll say
  19. It really makes me sad. He changed the way we live, listen to music, connect with each other...
  20. You're the one who started the thread.
