Got a Nels fan in the audience, for sure. That's the third time I heard him yell out "NELLLLLLLLLSSSSSSS" -

Enjoy the show y'all -
I've never bought from a scalper and hope that I never feel like I have to.

Wow. This is the first overview of the band that I almost completely agree with. Bravo.

#2 was Staircase. Not their best performance, huh?
-
Have any of you seen it yet?

I remember that line. The more of them, the better in my opinion.

A little kid, like maybe 10, was up on the stage dancing on Thur night in NYC and turned to his Dad and....well, here:

I just heard Tweedy and a few of the other band members talking on Sirius radio about Capitol City. Tweedy said he had been bringing that song to the studio for 15 years trying to get it on an album and that he finally snuck it on. The band was in the background laughing really hard. Maybe, he should have listened to them. Probably would've been better as a bonus track.

I'd rather fight like hell to get tickets to a smaller venue than have an easier time getting tickets to a larger venue. I saw them at Radio City (capacity 6000) several years ago and while it was kind of exciting that they were growing to the point that they could sell out 2 nights there, it was just too big, they seemed so far away and it lacked a good bit of intimacy for me. My favorite show was at a 700 person capacity club in Poughkeepsie, NY (the same year as the Radio City shows) and I'm sure a lot of it had to do with the size of the venue.

I like it. I wasn't that crazy about it at first but after a while I started to like how the music makes you feel anxious just like the character in the song is feeling.

The book is sweet. Art, lyrics, credits and some photos of the guys that look like they were taken at MASS MoCA, perhaps.

Just got mine in today's mail. Yippee. I was starting to get insanely jealous of all of you. edit: The track names are not showing up when I import the CD into iTunes It says "CDDB info is not available for these items" when I try to do it manually through the Advanced Tab / Get Track Names. Maybe this will clear up on Tuesday when the download is available.

That's really sweet.

They played it. Haven't seen a video though.

One Sunday Morning (Song For Jane Smiley's Boyfriend)

So what if he's an atheist anyway? I've heard similar sentiment in other songs he has written as well. That's pretty much what I interpret Less Than You Think to be about...and a lot of what I love about it too. -
It's not looking good, friends. http://www.weather.c...our/graph/10009 I'm gonna bail.
