  1. Salon has a review and interview with Jeff but I can't copy the link from where I am right now. Maybe someone else can do it.
  2. The Radioheads are coming. The Radioheads are coming. Tonight. One hour special on The Colbert Report. 11:30pm ET http://ccinsider.com...iohead-episode/
  3. To be honest, I don't think Wilco has always shined when they go on national TV. I remember many a night being so excited to see them on TV only to be let down...most of the time it was the song choice. I wish they would rock out with ALTWYS or something like that but they always seem to pick, what I guess they think will be the crowd pleaser. The You & I performance, to me, was cringe-worthy. I have a good memory of Secret of the Sea though. That was a great performance.
  4. Would love to hear more. I've heard there is no Replacements music, no video footage or images or anything of them. I'm curious how that goes over.
  5. When and what? I don't recall them ever playing a song that wasn't available yet on a national show. I know Tweedy played Open Mind on a Canadian TV show before the release but...
  6. This is more about the Central Park show than the album but, From the Village Voice http://blogs.village...r_23_review.php I love this review. Here's a little excerpt: "Throughout the two-hour-plus set, the rain pisses down constantly, and Wilco demonstrate their ability to put over modern blazer-rock better than any of the toothless/hookless/mirthless sensitivos in The National, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, and others—and they don't resort to Hornsbyisms, try to be U2/Springsteen, or add a fucking saxophone."
  7. I don't think the point is that you didn't want to read the post, it's that you felt the need to comment on it anyway. It would be kind of like people posting to let us know that they just skipped Less Than You Think.
  8. Well, thank you for that. It was a highlight for me. Actually brought tears to my eyes.
  9. I think the double neck guitar comes out on Dawned On Me
  10. I'm willing to eat the price of the ticket if I can't go to a show for some reason but it would bother me to have an empty seat at the venue rather than allow some other fan to use it.
  11. I requested One Sunday Morning at the NYC shows and they played it but I really don't think it had anything to do with my request.
  12. We were listening along http://viachicago.org/topic/46281-wilco-live-webcast-this-sunday-night-from-columbia/
  13. From the NY Times http://www.nytimes.c...age-review.html In the rain at Central Park SummerStage on Friday night, Wilco started its set by implying that it wasn’t going anywhere soon. No snappy opening ditty for this concert; instead, Wilco played the two extended songs that end and start “The Whole Love,” its new album. “This is how I tell it/ O’ but it’s long,” Jeff Tweedy sang to begin “One Sunday Morning,” a prodigal-son tale that has a Grateful Dead lilt, a folky instrumental refrain and jam-band tendrils of overlapping piano and guitar. The song repeatedly dissolved into a psychedeli
