Thanks for the heads up. I've been hoping to see that. Crappy quality but...still it sounds like it's pretty amazing live. Can't wait for Summerstage.

Can't decide between Art of Almost or One Sunday Morning...but I'm leaning One Sunday Morning.

Haha. It seems we do....and I see we both favor "haha" over LOL. I mean, it's just one more letter to type. I love that pic of Paul. Still makes me laugh all the time.

How so? I'm just curious.

Wilco posted on their facebook page a few days ago for someone in a similar situation to contact Tony Margarita Management and they would arrange to change the name at will call.

Even better

Actually, closing with The Lonely 1 sounds pretty incredible to me....but I also like the kind of movies that end on a poignant note... leaving you to walk off into the night contemplating life for hours on end. I love that feeling and it's rare. I felt like that for days after watching The Devil & Daniel Johnston. I don't think shows always have to end on a rockin' high note. I've been wondering what it would be like if they ended a show with One Sunday Morning. I think it would be pretty powerful.

Oh well, I don't like Walken either, so that makes sense.

I interrupt just to say, cute name and pic.

One Sunday Morning (Song For Jane Smiley's Boyfriend)

"Knocked down by the long lie" is how I heard it too. I think it's possible to make that statement about religion and not necessarily be an atheist. It could be a statement about certain kinds of organized religion being a lie. People can believe in a God but not in religion. So the "now he knows he was wrong" line would still make sense. -
I made a simliar observation this morning in this thread: http://viachicago.org/topic/45991-the-whole-love-speculation-and-eventual-reactions/page__st__180

Yeah, that is pretty adorable too.

The Whole Love: Speculation and (eventual) reactions
-seven replied to Al.Ducts's topic in Just A Fan
I agree. I was just on vacation and spent a good deal of the drive time listening to old Wilco and felt the same. Another thing that stands out to me is that if you compare this thread http://viachicago.org/topic/46083-one-line/ with this thread http://viachicago.org/topic/46131-best-wilco-lyrics/ it's pretty hard not to notice a difference in the quality of the lyrics as well. The new songs are good, a couple are even great but they don't kick my ass the way the songs on BT, ST, YHF and even AGiB did. -
Completely agree.

Too many to list but here's what comes to mind: Back in your old neighborhood, the cigarettes taste so good. Basically all of Sunken Treasure but especially these two lines: There's rows and rows of houses with windows painted blue with the light from a TV running parallel to you But there is no sunken treasure rumored to be wrapped inside my ribs in a sea black with ink ...and this: As your spine starts to shine, you shiver at your soul. a fist so clear and climbing punches a hole in the sky so you can see for yourself of you don't believe me. There's so much less to this than you think.

If you could ask Jeff Tweedy one question, what would it be? I would want to ask who The Lonely 1 (and Radio King) were written about. What would you ask?

The merch table takes cards too. FYI
