  1. I think NoJ is right. I haven't thought too much about this, but it doesn't seem like there is anything illegal here. But I don't know what the Right is claiming. Maybe Obama's plan is too sensible?
  2. Man, I'm so sorry. I know what you mean regarding your wife. When that time comes for our oldest dog, my wife and daughter will be inconsolable.
  3. It actually could have been a lot worse. As hard as that may be to believe. It's a constant battle. http://tfninsider.org/2014/11/21/the-textbook-vote-is-in-heres-what-we-accomplished/
  4. Just wanted to echo the thoughts on Courtney Barnett. Excellent album. Thanks for the recommendation!
  5. These are still individuals writing their reviews, though. I doubt Pitchfork is telling its writers that any references to past albums have to square with what was originally written about them.
  6. Really good review of the two albums and brief look at their career. Pitchfork review
  7. I'm not sure I have any thoughts on a baseball offseason 100 years in the future.
  8. Ugh. That's such a pet peeve of mine. I put this on my Christmas list, so I'm going to have to wait until then to check this out.
  9. Great album! I've been listening to this on repeat all week. Definitely in the top 3 of the year.
  10. The first of an incredible run of 4 brilliant albums. I can't remember the first time I heard it, but I know it was after I heard YHF.
  11. I've always thought of Poor Places as one of a handful of iconic Wilco songs. I was really surprised it wasn't included on this.
  12. Side with the Seeds is the only song from the last three albums that I would put on this compilation.
  13. Why would you say "11:12 a.m. today, CST" when the actual time you gave the answer was 11:12 a.m. CDT?
  14. I'd probably go with Hotel Arizona and Poor Places. Although, the selections from A Ghost is Born could stand a redo (other than Handshake Drugs).
  15. You shouldn't believe the government hype. If they don't have those things, then I'm sure there's some kind of mind-control device or a way to track your movements with GPS.
  16. And then they decided to stop making good ones.
  17. Not on your life. Aluminum, mercury, disease, Autism, etc. Not falling for it.
  18. Not really. It's a ridiculous, irrational sentiment among a very few. Similar to the equally dumb "I wish Los Angeles would break off and fall into the Pacific."
  19. "This week’s MMWR, Estimating the Future Number of Cases in the Ebola Epidemic—Liberia and Sierra Leone, 2014–2015, estimates the future number of cases if current trends continue.... "Without additional interventions or changes in community behavior, CDC estimates that by January 20, 2015, there will be a total of approximately 550,000 Ebola cases in Liberia and Sierra Leone or 1.4 million if corrections for underreporting are made."
  20. That's a worst-case scenario number amid a plea for more help in controlling the outbreak.
  21. No, there isn't. Please remember that Texas is a big state. Lots of different people live here. Thanks.
