Song #6 - Spangled from the Sweet Relief Foundation Pretty cool that they're doing it for SR. For a a $10 donation, you will be entered in a contest for a custom Billy Corgan Strat. As for the song, Ilike it. Not as much as Freak, but still cool. -
Dang, thanks for reminding me about this site. I just ordered Sebadoh III on vinyl for over $30 and I found it here for only $23. Next time....

I have yet to "buy" Cubehouse (it leaked the other day) and honestly, I think I'm gonna wait for a while this time. Every time a new album comes out, I rush to get the LP because it's "limited to 500 copies" or whatever. But then months, and in most cases, years after their release, his LPs are still available wiith no oneone in particular itching to buy them. So this time I say "screw it! I'm gonna wait." His audience has shrunk to a size that even a limited # of 500 takes a while to sell out. Imagine if Wilco did that.

Is Weezer's Hurley just a ruse to sell some clothes? Didn't even hear about this until recently but it sounds possible...Weezer selling out, no way! Get Out! I mean, no way! The album leaked the other day, but I have yet to listen to it.

Cubehouse is good. I've listened to it about 3-4 times now...I don't think it's as good as Planets or Zero to 99, but I have to give it time there are a few cool tracks: "Airwaves" is very T-Rex-ish; "Fly Away" has a great GBV sound; "Come on Baby Grace" is a great little rocker. Overall, it's good and better than his solo output by a mile in my book.

Boston Spaceships - Our Cubehous Still Rocks Not as good as their last two records but this one is growing on me. Can't wait to listen to that Superchunk record....

I loved both albums but Pinkerton had a more personal impact even more than those two records, but that's me. That said, Nevermind and that one song has more influence culturally and musically than anything Weezer has ever and probably will ever do. It simply changed everything whereas Weezer just made me really happy and had two damn fine albums, one of which I personally rank higher than Nirvana. However, it doesn't change the fact that Nirvana is still fucking Nirvana...If you get what I'm saying. Whatever my personal feelings are, when though about objectively, I don't believe when

Yeah, the list isn't that great and reeks of posturing. How can they not have Smells Like Teen Spirit as #1? I am pretty sure that's a gimme on an list from the 90's. I like the whole concept of only one song but...Weezer being ahead of Nirvana, no way.

What did they expect? It's not like this is surprising behavior or not indicative of the GNR-experience. If someone buys a GNR ticket, one would have to assume that the show starting late would be an implied risk at this stage of the game. No one to blame but themselves.

Sebadoh - Rocking the Forest

That's an album I just can't get into...Sub-Pop has been on a great roll with their releases lately, but this one, I had to pass on. Just cannot get past the general sound of this band.

Interpol - S/T Meh.

On huge loobie kick lately.

No Tonight, Tonight? Surely, I must be blind...wait, there's 1979, maybe they meant to put Tonight, Tonight instead. This is supposed to be the top 50 right? Hmmmmmm....

Smashing Pumpkins - Machina I and II (my version) I got tired of the shitty version of Machina, so I made my own mix. Sounds good to my ears and flows really well. It's a little more hard-hitting that the regular version. Lucky 13 Cash Car Star (Machina II LP) The Everlasting Gaze Blissed & Gone (Judas o) Stand Inside Your Love Untitled This Time Let Me Give The World To You Vanity Dross Try, Try, Try (Machina I) If There Is A God (piano and voice) Home (Machina II) Saturnine (Judas O) Go Here's To The Atom Bomb (Judas O) Waiting Age Of Innocence

How much are concert tees these days?
brianjeremy replied to PopTodd's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I saw the Smashing Pumpkins a few weeks back and the shirts were $30-$40. -
Pretty much the Arcade Fire album all day with the Japandroids and Vampire Veekend in there at some point.

I made my brother a killer 4 disc comp. of Farrar's work a year ago but I deleted the play list last week. One disc for each period: Tupelo, SV mach 1, Solo, SV mach 2. If I could just go back in time... Windfall Slate Grindstone Whiskey Bottle Still Be Around Tear Stained Eyes Live Free Driving The View Route Back Into Your World Methamphetamine The Picture Feel Free Damn Shame Voodoo Candle Barstow Greenwich Times 6 String Belief Jet Pilot Cocaine and Ashes Seriously tough to just choose 20. These are my favorite right now.

Surprised no one has mentioned this being the #1 album in the country. Not that it means much nowadays but still, mad props.
