I am taking my wife to see Journey/Cheap Trick/Heart next month. I still want to go see the Pumpkins on this tour though. I saw them last year but they played mostly the new stuff. I wanna hear the old stuff, which is what they'll be playing on this tour.

I forgot all about Ulysses and Beulah. Beulah are one my favorites too. That Ulysses record was just too good. I hope he makes more but I kinda doubt it.

I got it from Sub Pop about a year ago and was still available as of a few months ago.

I would say Elf Power and Of Montreal are the best of the crop. Both of them have the longest run among those second-tier group. They also still put out relevant music.

I have been listening to this a lot lately.

My wife is the same, except she doesn't listen to news radio, she listens to lite-rock (what I call the elton john station).

I saw him about 2 months ago and he was horrible, and I would go as far as saying it was the worst show I have ever attended. It was boring and that's a word that shouldn't be used when talking about Jo-Jo. Granted he played a lot of new stuff, but nothing else of interest (new version of old world and a half-assed attempt at lesbian bar, which consisted of one verse and the chorus repeated once). The new stuff just didn't have "it" and was not entertaining. It was mainly him jamming and playing with his effect pedals. Plus, he can only play/sing for less than an hour due to health reas

Agreed. Todd's production, instrumentation, etc is getting real old. It's been collecting dust on the shelve along with Coast to Coast and Standard Gargoyle Decisions. I couldn't get into those either. I'm joining the chorus of fans begging him for something different. I am so burnt out on his stuff that I really haven't bought much in the last year. I didn't get the circus devils album or the psycho and the birds one and who knows what else. I didn't pick up crickets because I have most of that stuff anyways.
