  1. Half an hour cut down version of the DVD. Don't know what showing that now means - maybe it won't get a proper release over here. Audio Abyss/Insightful banter Sunken Treasure Shot in the Arm One By One (I know what 7 Down is Jeff if you're still stuck) War On War Acuff Rose California Stars So, I suppose they took as much of the performances that they could squeeze into half an hour. No idea if there are any JT interviews etc on the actual DVD - no conversation in this apart from the banter. War on War was fun, but Nels' lap guitar work I found a bit grating (which I never thoug
  2. Forgot to say: I am a big fan of the Radio 4 shipping forecast though (original version). http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast/shipping/index.shtml There's a link to listen to it on that page.
  3. I have seen him once before many many moons ago. You did come remarkably close to an unannounced knock on the door and having to make space for someone on the couch (feet overhanging no doubt) for 4 nights. I'm sure she's a very nice lady, but I only have eyes for Mr Richman. Now I have to go and practise my hip swiveling and manic grinning. If you get a chance to have a word - (1) Put in a request for 'Vincent Van Gogh' (2) There's a spare room here if he's travelling in typical JoJo light and low-key mode. He would have to sing for his supper of course. I can do the backing for 'The

  9. Cardiff boy. My sister's best friend was once in hospital next to his mum. He came to visit, like the well brought up lad he is. His band was always spot on anyway - Dave Edmunds production etc. Also who knew? The secret behind the green door:- So, Shakin' Stevens - almost as legendary as Peter Singh, The Rocking Sikh http://www.aardvarkcymru.co.uk/singh.htm
  10. She's a real trooper. It's a classic. Jack White is to be commended.
  11. All things in moderation. As long as there's not too many threads, especially in the other more serious forum areas, which can put off new Wilco fans who aren't here for the funny, and that wouldn't be a good thing. Here it's plain Bedlam amongst consenting adults, as far as I'm concerned - though personally I don't get into attacking individuals much - just can't be arsed. Just ignoring obvious attention seekers works best it seems to me.

Whooshing through the water on a friendly dolphin's back Racing to the rescue of victims of attack. In a flash, he'll foil the foe With a quick boomarang throw! 13. "All mouth and no trousers" would seem a fitting description.
  14. I am awaiting todays beehive from Flick, and wondering what was happening at the dirty raincoat brigade convention here last night. Must remind you of one of your goat stories M. Chris?
  15. Like I was saying ... (1) They're Welsh (2) Kelly Jones has got one of my favourite male voices of anyone around at present. Over a couple of albums they can get a bit samey (but I would say the same about the Black Crowes), plus alot of other people, but their best I like alot. Just straight forward rock'n'roll with a killer growl. And if you don't feel bothered to check it out - how about Stereophonics plus the Black Crowes, that must be some sort of recommendation as far as you're concerned? 19. Though the truth is that I am really turned off by the (successful) attempts to get something of the same scale going in the UK as it's all fuelled by commercial pressures and isn't a natural native celebration for us (in the trick or treat and party sense - old style All Hallows Eve could be a natural native celebration of course - but it never really was to any extent, unless you lived in a weird village in the middle of the woods). Guy Fawkes night is enough for me.
