This is the weirdest thing I have seen in a very long time. Do you know this sketch? Do you know the late great Peter Cook? (and Alan Bennett is a national treasure). You have to read with Peter Cook's voice

Elvis Costello (third re-issue of 11 albums)
Albert Tatlock replied to Analogman's topic in Someone Else's Song
I make do with this double album compilation covering most if not all of that period, I was around when all the originals came out and saw him a couple of times, so it's all sort of in my head anyway. It was on sale here very cheap recently. -
Andrew Dowdall I both post and star in porn under my real name.

The crowd are a bit leery, and there's 2 minutes of rrambling intro, but once it gets going ... (though not as good as Sunday's performance) -

Now that's what I call getting jiggy with it. I will have to watch at home as no streaming media allowed here. "Seamie ODowd" My branch of the Dowdalls do come from Ireland. Someone told me that Dowdall means black head (as in hair, not skin problem) in Gaelic, which woul dbe appropriate for our family. There's a touch of the leprachaun about me I'm sure (but a freakish tall leprachaun at that). -

I have seen Friday 11th and 18th August mentioned, 9pm, BBC4. But, checking the schedules online now shows I Claudius. ? Will keep my eyes peeled. I can't remember if there were cameras working for John Butler. God I hope so. Should be some YouTube gems shortly afterwards. I also think that there were several special impromptu sessions recorded in the VIP/performers area - the radio programme might give more insight into that. -

You know how to hurt a man. (It's high cheek bones every time ) -
Did you ever watch Reggie Perrin? Or Rising Damp for that matter - also starring Leonar Rossiter. Might be up your street if you are old skool TV comedy. And possibly my favourite "Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads". In most of my attitudes I am Terry Collier.

Sure, go ahead. I forgot to bring in the actual originals on a memory stick this morning that I could have emailed you - which you could have cropped or something if necessary (and get rid of the red eye on the smiling Emmylou picture). I don't know if you can get the original size back from flickr - although that may indeed be the optimum size since when full scale a few of them are a bit more grainy when using the zoom. FYI, Croft Number 5 have already decided to split up later this year. You can also quote me on the "She could cough up phlegm into a tin bucket and it would be music to my -

Maybe JT could slot in a couple of solo shows - he seemed to have a grand time last November. Christmas shopping and some handy loose change to fund the trip. Two birds with one stone.

Indeed, and for those looking at the picture and just see an 'acoustic' guitar, it was producing everything from folkie strumming to being a flaming electric axe. -

Hmmm, not sure a juke box would do him justice, but live is another matter for me. Seems like a nice guy too. He said he gave up being an art teacher to "play music and pull strange faces" -
