Found it in your notes for "27 April 2018, Chicago, IL (Vic Theatre) Benefit for Education Night 1 of 2". I knew you wouldn't let me down ... -

Ta. Presume they're not selling advance copies of WARM from the merch stall, in which case someone might give an initial impression. Am I right in remembering a song for which the main repeated refrain seemed to be 'drawing from memory". Don't see anything on the WARM listing that matches that - though as you have said, the song that was labelled New Wave Theatre turned out to be called something else, so maybe that's going on here too. -
Been really enjoying some of the recent events in the publicity drive for the new album - now the Grand Central Station concert is on youtube in full and also the LIPA conversation with Jarvis Cocker. Just saying for any big fans like me who weren’t necessarily following events too closely - just stumbled upon them myself.

Who me? Ta. -
The thing about Wilco for me is that you could have all of those on one record e.g. The Whole Love (Capitol City = show tune? OK, maybe no banjo number there). What do I want? Not sure. When di I want it? Now!

John playing with Ray Lamontagne on Later with Jools Holland last night. A restrained supportive role not looking to grab any attention. He might have picked up some moves from Nicky Wire who was also present on the show with the Manics.

I got into Wilco via Mermaid Avenue. I was bought a copy of Being There but couldn’t get into it. A while later I got Summerteeth and was obsessed with it for a while. Then saw the IITTBYH film and something about JTs character and humour struck a chord. His gift for melody is the key for me, plus the variety of styles, similar to my first love the Beatles (who I am also picky with some tracks). So there’s always enough on every album that I love, but always something that does not work for me. I don’t analyse my likes and dislikes, I just let them be instinctive. I don’t feel the need to be a

So sadly prophetic. That Live at the Captains Rest acoustic is one of my favourite live albums, even albums per se (and better than the original versions for me). His best for me:-

I’ve heard it now. It’s a bit naff and you probably won’t learn anything, so feel free to spend 2 hours doing something better with your time.

https://www.nationalreview.com/podcasts/political-beats/episode-33-kevin-madden-wilco/ Haven’t listened to it myself yet. No doubt he means more to you than me. I did hear part of one discussing McCartney. They seemed a bit pompous and self important. May be the same here but can be interesting just to hear people discuss Wilco, since it doesn’t happen that often, and its over 2 hours long.

Distance adds romance. Not quite so lovely every day ... but the walk along the river is always nice. It's coming up to the time when one of the main UK TV studios with a building on the river often has their morning news team presenting outside on the public embankment with St Pauls and the river as a backdrop, when the weather is good, and they often have musical guests etc. performing. A while back a highlight was seeing the Beachboys (w/o Brian) there whilst amongst a small group of earlybird commuters a few feet away. Well I can this evening, they're only there on Fridays :-)Actually t
