  1. I have Tues and Wed off and enough frequent flier miles for a free ticket. I'm seriously considering going to this.
  2. Time to start the Tomatina! I'm The Man Who Loves You after Walken
  3. But then how would we know the names of the songs?
  4. Yay!!! Now if we could only get the DJ to stop talking between (and over the beginning of) songs. She sounds like Fred Armisen in I Am Trying To Break Your Heart.
  5. Robert Walter's 20th Congress and Anders Osbourne at the Independent in SF
  6. You just described my last 24 hours. I've been listening to those and looking for other local music to see in the Bay Area most of the morning.
  7. I had essentially the same experience as most of those posting here. I was in the terrace boxes, which was farther back then I usually prefer as I like to sing, dance, etc. I went to the box office before the show to see if I could upgrade to the pool section and they initially said yes I could; however, when they saw that I got the tickets from frontgate they said they could only do exchanges on tickets purchased from their box office. They actually tried to do it for about 5 minutes before giving up. Oh well. I thought the band was great but the crowd not so much. I love hearing Sunken Treas
  8. Thanks for the setlist, Paul. Glad I got to say thank you in person after the show. I really enjoyed this show. Wed was the night before my birthday and I decided very early on Wed morning to make the 4 hour drive from SF to Redding to see this show. I walked into the box office 2 hours before show time and scored a front row seat in the center section on the right aisle. Then I took a drive over to the Sundial Bridge and ran into John (my first Wilco sighting "in the wild). I was essentially on cloud nine upon arrival and it would've taken something drastic to spoil my night. Being in a bea
  9. This was my favorite part of the show, too. It was a great 2 days at the Greek. The crowd was really into both shows. Lots of people dancing, singing along and, thankfully, not talking. Realy enjoyed meeting VCers Wilco Me and Kidsmoke, who I recognized from Red Rocks, while waiting for gates to open. I took your advice, Diane, and made reservations for Solid Sound next summer. Perfect sure for the impending tour hiatus induced depression :-)
  10. I thought it was hilarious when Josh started Hoodoo Voodoo with his shirt on and Jeff walked up to him and started unbuttoning it, The friend I was there with was a Wilco virgin. He was really confused by this.
  11. Red Rocks (both nights) Geneva Greek Theatre (both nights) Hollywood Bowl Contemplating SLO or Palm Dessert since I have places to stay in both but I'm pushing my luck with time off requests at work. We'll see...
  12. I agree with both of you. It's a great recording of a really great show but the audience could be louder in the mix. We sang our heads off that night and you don't get that from this recording. I noticed it most on Hate It Here and Hummingbird. Having said that I'm extremely grateful for such a high quality recording. Much to my neighbors dismay I can create my own loud audience sing along at home.
  13. Thanks for the seating chart. I had no idea where my row was until I saw this. I'm in Terrace Box 1137 :-)
  14. Or you could come to see them at The Hollywood Bowl or Greek Theater in Sept :-)
  15. Hi Folkgirl! I'm definitely interested in splitting a weekend package. None of my friends want to make the trip from the Bay Area (what's wrong with them?!?!). My email address is sandymelloy@gmail.com. Send me an email if this is still available and you'd like to talk further. Hope to hear from you :-)
