  1. I have two tickets for sale for 10/21 at the Ryman. It's in Sec MF-3 Row M. $56 each with service charges. It's a will call ticket so we'd have to arrange to meet. Edited to change number of tickets from one to two.
  2. There was a link to download the audio to your iTunes from the link Wilco Me posted above. Have you tried that?
  3. I'm already having conflict anxiety and the schedule isn't even out yet. I've convinced myself that Ryan Adams and Conor and Friends will be at the same time. I'm also worried about Jason Isbell and Tweedy conflicting. Perhaps I should just wait until there is a real published conflict before I start freaking out, but that would make me a mentally sound individual. As a side note, I'm really hoping Tweedy gets to SF a day early and plays a song or two with Mavis. That would be heaven.
  4. Beck at The Masonic in SF. First show after the big renovation :-)
  5. Were the Solid Sound recordings a limited release? I don't see them in the store anymore.
  6. The two I listen to most often are Terminal 5 in NYC and Stubb's BBQ in Austin. Great set lists and great performances.
  7. I was camped out on the rail with the "Canadian Coalition" (although I'm a San Franciscan myself). I'd say we were positioned more Loose Fur than Autumn Defense, but I'll admit to appreciating the wonder of nature that is Pat Sansone. There were a couple of truly endearing Jeff moments that I really enjoyed in Columbus. After one of Nels' signature guitar explosions Jeff went up to him and rubbed the back of Nels' head and smiled. It was such an affectionate gesture. The other was during Outtasite (outtamind). While he was singing the line "here I come again and I'm bringing my friends" he po
  8. I'm sure I'm the only one who's noticed. You've got it under control. You can quit any time.
  9. OMG you're obsessed with that profile picture!
  10. Can't Stand It at Trader Joe's. The cashier must've thought I was having a stroke when I suddenly stopped talking to him and bagging my groceries when I heard the first few notes of the song.
  11. I just found that out as well! There was no way anybody in the audience could tell. He was all over the stage!
  12. Tickets in the pit just became available for Akron. Get them before the scalpers do.
  13. The date had been set for the broadcast! It's Oct 25th. They get the whole hour.
  14. Well said, Diane! It's Jeff's voice in live setting and his warmth and soulfullness that turned me from casual listener to obsessed fan.
  15. I didn't know Emmylou had a traditional soundcheck! I've never arrived that early. I'm really hoping Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires get added to the lineup. They're playing in Napa on the Monday after this festival and have no dates booked for the weekend. They'd be a perfect addition.
  16. According to today's teaser medley on the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival Website, TWEEDY will be performing this year. For those of you unfamiliar with this event it is definitely worth a special trip to the Bay Area. It's a 3-day free music festival in Golden Gate Park. So far in addition to TWEEDY Ryan Adams, Lucinda Williams and Yo La Tengo have been confirmed. Here's a link to the medley for those interested: http://www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com/2014/
  17. Thanks Firecracker Kid for clearing up my Lucius confusion. I thought they had come out much earlier. A couple more banter related tidbits. Jeff said he had waited so long to produce a solo record because he had to grow his own drummer. When bringing Holly and Jess on stage he said that their last name was not Tweedy but that they were welcome to change it if they'd like. At the beginning of New Madrid when the crowd cheered after just one chord he stopped and said, "you couldn't possible know what song that is. All my songs start like that." He said he wasn't going to play any more songs, h
  18. One quick note and then I swear I'm getting some rest. ITMWLY and You and I were omitted. Misunderstood was played last. The ladies from Lucius played most of the set with the band. They came onstage during either Summer Noon or World Away and stayed until the end of the full band set. They came out for the band encore and for Jesus, Etc. Sorry I didn't take any notes so this is from memory.
  19. Bbop was not in attendance so I thought I'd take the liberty of starting this thread. I've been up for over 40 hours so I'm going to hold off on any comments until I am more coherent. I've attached a photo of tonight's set list :-)
  20. Today it says that the downloads won't be available until after Sept 20. I guess we're not getting these in advance of the record release after all.
  21. I have a GA ticket for Friday. It's yours if you want it. Email me at sandymelloy at gmail dot com if you're interested. I paid $75 plus fees. Ticket is at Will Call. I will be lining up early on Friday and will be picking them up then.
  22. Lots of love and good thoughts to Sue and the entire Tweedy family. Now go kick cancer's butt!
