Just called my senators and congressman voicing my opposition to the policy of separating children from their families at the border. I hope you make those calls too.

Well, the IG report destroyed 45's deep state conspiracy. What are they gonna come up with next?
-
Yeah, I never got that band.

"Dirt", the Motley Crue tell-all. Cripes, what a bunch of dirt bags. I completely forgot about Vince killing his pal in a drunk driving accident. I don't see myself finishing this one.

Being 50% Irish, I learned long ago that whiskey doesn't set well with me....if my mind is in the wrong place. Other spirits don't do that to me. I was thinking the same thing about a Van bio.
-
I think Van's grouchiness was a cover for his insecurities and weirdness.

Yeah, the James Brown bit was wild. I heard a bit about that before but the book filled in all the blanks. All the info about Van Morrison's childhood was interesting too. He was/is a tripped out cat.

Just finished "Astral Weeks: A secret history of 1968" by Ryan Walsh. It covers a number of topics including Van Morrison's time in Boston, writing and recording Astral Weeks, the Mel Lyman cult (which I've never heard of before), the explosion of the use of LSD in society, the rise of The Boston Tea Party (a live music venue) and the Velvet Undergrounds's time spent there. Walsh did a fine job of weaving all of those topics into a fascinating story line. Anyone know that Van Morrison was into the occult? Not me. Anyways, check it out.

Lordy, you don't wanna see that.

Today I found a tick in my belly button.

You'd think that but having insurance is finally paying off.

Today we are getting a new roof. Next Monday, new siding.

My wife has her masters in reading and has been in education for 20+ years so I know what you guys are saying. The stories of mismanagement, bad administrators and plain old laziness abound.
-
I'm not diminishing what you guys see and experience by any means but almost any job could become a chore after a certain period of time. I've been headhunting for 20 years and would walk away from it with no regrets in a heartbeat if I could find a viable replacement

Also, today I found a dead Great Horned Owl.

Best of luck to you, game on!

Today I'm hoping for a Golden Knights win

My copy is from the library too

New JGB, 5/20/1990, Hilo Civic Auditorium, Hawaii. The highlight for me is "Tough Mama", the Dylan tune from Planet Waves. I've always loved that tune and its great to hear Jerry take a swing at it.

Also, I dreamt last night that I was in Neil's new movie with Darryl Hannah. One of those low budget dreams I guess....
-
You may be right. Danger Bird on "Year of the Horse" is a freakin' monster. There's something about how Crazy Horse commands the low end of the sonic spectrum. Really hits my sweet spot.

RIP Dodd-Frank Act. Any guesses on when the next global financial crisis will occur?
-
We watched "Mom & Dad" last night. I cant resist a wild eyed looney tunes Nick Cage and he didn't disappoint.

Moss is indeed great in this. She surprised me with the range of emotions she can reach just through the looks on her face. I don't recall that in Mad Men.

Have you ever been to a concert that made you lose interest in a band?

The one and only Wilco show I saw in 2005 dampened my enthusiasm for them ever since. I much prefer the post Jay, pre Nels period. Ok, now that I've said it, please don't ban me, thanks!
