It is Kotch-EE at a jeff solo show I was at, in the middle of the set someone just yelled out, "how do you pronounce glenn's name?" and jeff replied "Kotch-EE. Like, Cock-Cheese" -

Can you gimme a hand with Teenage Fanclub? I own Bandwagonesque and I love it. I think the song "The Concept" strikes the perfect balance in their sound to me. The dynamics between ragged guitar and beautiful harmonies. I've downloaded some other random songs but can't find anything I truly love like Bandwagonesque. I've got there greatest hits, and Songs From Northern Britain (albeit I dont listen to them that frequently and all the way through) but im looking for something with the BITE of Bandwagonesque. I love all there cover songs I've accumulated and other random songs stand out (Neil Ju

John Frusciante Solo Material
Is Chicago Is Not Chicago replied to a.miller's topic in Someone Else's Song
Frusciante is a very talented artist. All the albums he put out are very good. The albums he made for the record collection label, each made in a matter of days are all very different and well worth picking up. -the will to death -ataxia - automatic writing -the dc ep -inside of emptiness -a sphere in the heart of darkness -curtains -
The first disc of Don't Look Back is going to be the original film remastered. The 2nd disc is a 60 min collection of outtakes assembled by Pennebacker left out of the original film. I'm assuming, much like the Additional footage found as a bonus on IAMTBYH. I'm a big fan of Eat The Document as well. Unfortunatley I don't think we will ever see a release of this untill Dylan's death. Which is a shame, because my copies quality is decent but leaves alot to be desired. Pennebaker has a rough cut of his version called, "Something Is Happening Here" full of different scenes and overlapping as

awwwwww Im excited! two weekends away for me! I was a little upset when I saw him september and he didn't play any new songs. Although I was lucky enough to hear sugar baby, visions of johanna, and stuck inside of mobile...I was hoping for any of the gems on modern times... and oh yea, while im thinking about it. as much as I love modern times, I still think Love And Theft is the better album...anyone else agree? -
Walken (With Horns!)
Is Chicago Is Not Chicago replied to Is Chicago Is Not Chicago's topic in Just A Fan
admittingly it can sound cheesy if a band who doesn't dabble in horns put them on for random effects. But when bands know what there doing use them the sound can be magnificent. When mchchef1 brought up the stones that a good reference point or even ::ahem:: the beatles. I feel that if Wilco decided to put horns on the album they wouldnt over do it and they would sound delectable. -
Who would you like to see open for Wilco?
