  1. I thought Reeves' contribution on "Disintegration" was really stellar. "Never Enough" was amazing, too. Other highlights for me were "Burn"(!), "A Forest" & the opening of the show which was the first 3 songs of "Distintegration". They ended up doing 6 songs from that album but the set was a really nice career retrospecitve. Robert seemed to be really enjoying himself. They only did 1 of the new songs in Vegas but I have heard both. Makes me wish for a new album with this lineup. Reeves is 1 of those guys who you really like or you really don't. It was the same when he was with Bowie. I l
  2. I'm happy to report that the Cure concert I saw in Vegas was fantastic. They are really great this tour. 30+ songs over 3 hours. They are playing stuff that hasn't been played since the 1980s & 2 new songs. Setlists are changing nightly. Reeve's Gabrels on guitar is stunning & Robert Smith seems to be enjoying himself. If you get the chance, go!
  3. Sorry I wasn't clear. I write in the vampire hours before heading off to work. I believe Mick came up with the riff for Brown Sugar. On a humorous note there have been several instances of Keith "forgetting" how to play it & Ronnie coming to the rescue.
  4. Neil & POTR getting in the groove is a massively good thing. I saw a 20+ minute version of DBTR last fall. You are correct, it was something to see. POTR are on Colbert Wednesday night. No Neil mentioned in promo but you never know...
  5. I think "Sway" was one of the songs Keith was "busy" during the recording, "Moonlight Mile" being another. + the riff on "Brown Sugar" is Mick Jagger.
  6. Springsteen has his version of "Purple Rain" up for free download on his website. IMHO, excellent. Nils....
  7. Stunning tribute from the Boss: http://www.inquisitr.com/3026228/purple-rain-bruce-springsteen-pays-tribute-to-prince-by-preforming-his-iconic-song-video/
  8. Another 1 of my idols, huge division. Him & Bowie this year are hitting hard. Both genius in their own way. This one hits hard, he was only 2 years older. Luckily, I got to see him several times. I was hoping to take my friend soon as she hasn't seen him. We'll just have to be satisfied with all of the fine Prince stuff out there. There will be plenty of "new" stuff from the vaults I'm sure. RIP Prince
  9. Setlist from 1st night of tour looks pretty good. Looking forward to Sunday night! 10. Good for the boss! Showing a little more grit than years ago when he crossed arena workers picket lines to do a show in Tacoma, WA. Doing the evolution, man. I guess Junior Johnson not going to make it to the Cadillac Ranch...
  11. RIP Merle. My favorite country artist along with Johnny Cash. I actually listen to Merle more. An American treasure. Am lucky I got to see him play a few times.
  12. It wouldn't surprise me in the least.
  13. AIC are still very good. They pop up on a lot of those festival shows on Palladia (or whatever its called now). William Duval sang with the MC5 reunion on a show & was excellent. There's a cd/dvd out with them & Primal Scream that is worth hunting down. Jerry Cantrell looks like an insurance salesman now. The man can still play & was really the songwriter in AIC. Hope they get to open the tour. Would be a nice payday for them. Duff & Jerry are buds who are hardcore 12th Man Seahawk fans. Attend games together.
  14. Downloaded this one recently. Sounds amazing!
  15. In Seattle Noveller came on promptly @ 8. Iggy started at 9 on the button. The venue has a strict 11:00 curfew. Noveller was sort of interesting but the world will not end if you miss her. Just get there by 9!
  16. Report from the front lines: The show was fantastic. Setlist same as above. The band was really good. GO!
  17. I scored tickets for Ray Lamontagne in Seattle yesterday. I was unaware that MMJ was going to be backing him up. Think this is going to a real good one.
  18. Prayers to all affected by terrorist attacks in Brussels.
  19. I love AC/DC but I was done when Malcom went down. It was his band & he was the heart of it. It's all a money grab now.
  20. I think Kasich is good @ wearing a mask of respectability, in this year of fanatics. Look at his record though on women's issues for instance. He's another sick f*ck. I'm not affiliated with any party. I always say I'm pro human being & we know which side comes closest on that. I'm no fan of Hilary either. If/when she gets in, it will be business as usual as she would sell her & the whole country's soul to become the first woman president. The only hope for change (& I'm not entirely sold) is Sanders. I don't think the powers in charge are ever going to allow that or if by some flu

  22. I've seen Roger play acoustic on "Who Are You" several times. Probably most of any song.
