once again, they skip OK/TX...

walked out on a Butthole Surfers show in '95. Their first song, they played a very uninspired "Pepper" their big radio hit at the time and said "ok, we got that out of the way, so now all you radio fans can go home." Then they played even more uninspired and sloppy and i left after a few more songs. They did not want to be there... the other bands on the bill were Supersuckers/Rev Horton Heat/Toadies and they were all great... I fell asleep during a 1981 Grateful Dead drum solo. Borrringgggg.

now why exactly do you need to be rolled off in a wheelchair for a shoulder injury?
-
the new EITS is excellent, as I thought it would be.... i downloaded it off eMusic but read there's a bonus disc of remixes of the songs available at indie record stores? i called the record stores around me and no one had that version... anyone know of a site that's got these mp3's?

i saw them a few years ago in Dallas and it was pretty good. Daltrey can't hit the high notes, but his voice overall is still good. And Townsend hasn't lost anything on the guitar.... it gave me goosebumps hearing some of the old classics played live. they'll be here in OKC next month, too - i'll buy a ticket for sure... you need to go! i mean c'mon, who plays in Little Rock anyway? to get The Who is a big deal....

I swore that was Chad Smith playing with the Dixie Chicks on their live performance last night at the Grammys.... just caught a glimpse at the end, though...

give it up - what do you know that we don't? you big tease....

happy (belated) birthday to my Wichita concert buddies! -
he was playing it acoustically at the end of the documentary. and i just looked and there's a Live Sessions EP on iTunes that has the song on it, although the sample doesn't give you much on what it sounds like....

i'll add my 2

I was supposed to see them a week or so ago on the first show in OKC, but it got postponed because of the ice storm, so now it's the last show on March 12. really, really looking forward to it.... i've seen them on the last 2 tours and have been blown away....
-
i've been watching a lot of the "classic albums" series on VH1 Classic - The Band, Dark Side of the Moon, Rumors, Ace of Spades.... good stuff. kind of cool to hear the background stories on what went on during the recording of these...
-
i think they'd sound great if they got back together and played. great musicians and Sting's still got his voice.... i saw them on the Synchronicity tour and it was fantastic....

what university do you work at?

Hornets are 3-0 after dispatching the Celtics on the road, Pacers on the road, and Houston in New Orleans. Peja seemed to get on track last night, hitting 5-8 3's.... I know it's early, but I'm liking being at the top of the division ahead of Dallas and the Spurs....

you weren't subjected to the 1988 Cotton Bowl show I was, though, when Sammy lost his voice barely 15 minutes into the show, so Michael Anthony took over lead vocal duties for the next hour before they called it quits... yuck!
-
at least musically, it'll be an upgrade over Michael Anthony...
-
i think Ace's solo cd is the best of the 4.

man, i knew this was coming out, but didn't realize how much stuff was actually on there! i'll be getting it for sure.... watched some of the houston '77 show on vh1 classic over the weekend - brings back memories of my first kiss show in nov '77.....
