  2. You mean something like this?
  3. I remember watching that - I can still hear Joan River screeching "Heewskah Deeew!!!"
  4. My five, chronologically... 1. It's Just That Simple (sorry John) 2. Dreamer in My Dreams (they probably had a blast recording this - listening to it; not so much) 3. ELT (alt.country-by-numbers w/ overdubbed fx, out of place on Summerteeth, i could go on...) 4. Reservations 5. Less Than You Think (dronedronedrone)
  5. It's sad, but it seems that alot of the influential first-generation bands (ie: Stooges, Sabbath) either don't make it in or take forever to get there, but the more "popular" second-generation bands do. That's why a band like the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a shoe-in, while the Minutemen will never make it.
  6. I'd hope so - their first record came out in 1979 so they should've been eligible/nominated by now.
  7. It's not gonna happen - there are other equally-deserving British bands like The Jam and The Cure that'll probably never get in either. The Hof's basically an Americancentric popularity contest.
  8. Gorilla me a cheese sandwich & I'll be right over!
  9. "November Rain" G'nR - both the song AND the video (most craptacular video ever)
  10. I wonder if the Pat doll comes with
  11. first album: Queen - News of the World first concert: Stray Cats, 1982
  12. I used to work like 3 minutes from Merriweather, but that was 20 years ago - These days it'd be Work -> Drive 13 Hours -> Bar -> Show
  13. I usually wake up a minute or two before the alarm is set to go off.
  14. 1. Alice Cooper 2. Marty Feldman 3. Vincent Price 4. Steve Martin 5. Debbie Harry

I especially love the weary sarcasm of the lyrics.
  16. Further addendum (kind of): Once, on a nonstop flight between San Juan Puerto Rico and Baltimore I was seated between the bass player and leader singer of 38 Special. Unfortunately, walking out early was not an option.
  17. Anytime a Rush song comes on the radio it gets played REALLY loud (AC/DC too).
  18. Sonically I'm hearing Loose Fur all over this record, and yeah, that's a good thing. I'm getting a "Southern Man" vibe from the solo on YAMF Sonically I'm hearing Loose Fur all over this record, and yeah, that's a good thing. I'm getting a "Southern Man" vibe from the solo on YAMF
