Great song. The guitar reminds me of I Must Be High. -

Thanks! I looked at the Wiki entry & it sounds fascinating. I loved The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs. It had one of the best openings that I've ever seen. Classic Coen Bros. I'll admit that it did try my patience a bit in the middle, but I enjoyed each vignette which were quite different from one to the next. I need to rewatch the ending to get a clearer grasp on the message of it. It all seemed fresh & you'll need to tune into their unique frequency to enjoy it. Now that I'm familiar with the dialog, I'll be waiting for classic lines to hear again.

I walked out of The Girl In The Spider's Web. While I enjoyed David Fincher's unnecessary remake in 2011, I knew that he'd never be back for any of the possible U.S. sequels. 7 years have passed and they decided to go with the 1st book in the series not written by the original author, Stieg Larsson. It was one of those boring films that feel twice as long as it actually is. I left after an hour and it really felt like I was there for 2 hours. I'd be willing to give it another chance, if it ever becomes a .99 cent rental on iTunes. I thoroughly enjoyed Can You Ever Forgive Me?. Melissa McCar

One of my favorites off of War. Wish they'd bring it back on the road with them. The way that they've been dipping into their back catalog it seems likely now for the future.

Some very quick bits from yesterday's U2 concert in Berlin. Bono said that "We're going away now..." which fueled speculation about the end of the band.... But fans spoke with crew members after the show & they were asked by U2 to clear their calendars for Sept-Dec 2019 for an Australian stadium tour. It sounds like it will be a completely new tour. Anton Corbijn said that the proposed Nov date (next week) for the Joshua Tree 30th Anniversary Tour concert DVD has been postponed to March because they want it to play in select theaters. The band also has some 360 degree filmed shows t

U2 added The Fly to the setlist about a month ago. The band plays the song inside the screen. They also just added Dirty Day off of Zooropa. This reimagining of the song is a bit like The Ocean on this tour. It features a lengthy Bonologue about the members of U2 and their fathers. The song was featured on the Zoo TV Live From Syndey DVD. Before this past Friday, it wasn't performed since late 1993 on the last date of the Zoo TV Tour. Tomorrow is the last show of the tour. It will be filmed for a future DVD release. There are rumors that this was U2's last tour, but I don't see how that

Hello my fellow Wilco fans, I am selling an extra single ticket for face value or below. I paid $58, according to the TM email. I think it was $42 before the TM fees. It is in Sec C Row 3 Seat 2. I can transfer the ticket into your TM account, if you have one. I can't email the ticket because the "Sell" option is blacked out for me, but I'm going to look into this. I'd prefer an email, instead of a PM. kgeorgeou@comcast.net

Jeff Tweedy will be on this Monday's episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The listing says "Jeff Tweedy talks and performs."

The sale runs through December 3rd. I saw Bohemian Rhapsody and thought that Rami Malek's performance & the concert scenes were amazing. But the historical inaccuracies left me scratching my head, especially with Roger Taylor & Brian May being involved with the making of the film. At least 3 songs shown in the film had the wrong year/time frame. I laughed how John Deacon was on the bottom of the totem pole. Could this be how it really was or is it like this because only Roger & Brian helped to put this biopic together? Also, Freddy isn't here to tell his story, so one could look

I saw Luca Guadagnino's remake of Suspiria which I thought was brilliant. The color palette used is wintry gray which is much different than the original. This version examines womanhood, power, guilt and shame. The visual mood is well kept for the whole duration of the film along with a terrific score by Thom Yorke. That last half hour segment will be with me for an extremely long time and blows away any horror film in recent memory. The art house feel for the bulk of the film might scare away horror enthusiasts. I enjoyed the 2 lead performances in Beautiful Boy, but would have to say tha

Barnes & Noble is having a 50% off Criterion Collection sale, so most titles are right around $19.99 which is a pretty decent deal. Speaking of Criterion Collection, I'm upset that FilmStruck is shutting down shop later this month. They were a streaming service for Criterion Collection films. I almost upgraded to the latest Apple TV to get access to the Apple App Store to download the FilmStruck App, but the price never came down enough to justify the upgrade. I'm going to stay in tonight to watch The Other Side Of The Wind on Netflix. That's the Orson Welles film that was in limbo, si

I loved Bad Times At The El Royale. The production design of the El Royale hotel was amazing. There's a beautiful Wurlitzer jukebox with 45s that is responsible for the great soundtrack. Reminded me of early Tarantino & Jim Jarmusch's Mystery Train. I'm extremely glad that I made the time to see The Oath which was a razor sharp political black comedy written & directed by Ike Barinholtz. The Old Man & The Gun is a nice little gem of a film that allegedly features the last role for Robert Redford. I also loved how they recreated the look of early 80s films. Plus, Redford's ban

My dad thinks that Red Sox 1B Steve Pearce looks like "that Wilco guy". I can kind of see it in the face. I thought that this would go 7 too. I just didn't think the Red Sox would be up 3-1. I also didn't think that they'd get by the Yankees. They seem to be out there to prove a point to all the naysayers. I'm always expecting the bullpen to blow it. I've seen each one of them give up plenty of runs this year & especially in September. It's bound to happen at some point this month. Yeah, amazing Game 4. Probably the best Red Sox postseason game I've seen. It had everything. I'm happy

Hate It Here & Tweedy's Summer Noon are on the Spotify Original Motion Picture Playlist for Jonah Hill's directorial debut Mid90s. It's interesting to note that these 2 songs were in Richard Linklater's Boyhood. I haven't seen the film yet, so I have no idea if these songs made the film. Obviously these songs were not released in the 90s, so it could be that these songs are more on the playlist side. https://newsroom.spotify.com/2018-10-16/jonah-hills-mid90s-and-spotify-team-up-for-our-first-ever-official-motion-picture-playlist/

Is it safe to assume that we can just buy an Early Bird Pass without any sort of Promo Code etc? The link looks like it's asking for one. I don't remember how it went down last time, since it was 2 years ago.
