  1. From Matt (old film school bud) at MTV: I looked around a bit and I can't find anything matching your description. I'll keep an eye out though and look again every once and a while. Hmm....

  3. I was watching Jimmy Kimmel last night for a bit to catch his monolog to hear his "This Week On The FCC" or whatever. He showed a clip of Larry King Live where he said that Larry took the night off, but still showed up kind of drunk. When they finally showed the clip, I could have sworn it was Steven Tyler filling in for Larry. It was only a side profile view for about 10 seconds. I took the last 10 minutes to find out who it really was. It was Soledad O'Brien. My public apology goes out to her. I'm sorry that you looked like Steven Tyler....wait a minute...that's not my problem. http://w
  4. Well, obviously it would have had to be known about prior to someone recording it, right? And from the sounds of it dating back 3 years, not one of us has ever seen this or heard about what happened with this up until this guy that I know said that he saw it and saw himself too. It should be mentioned that he brought this up to me first which I was completely shocked about. A similar thing happened with U2 in the early 90s. A handful of European fans claim that they saw a video for Zooropa (title track) on MTV at like 3am and gave a description of it and no one has ever seen it again. It
  5. The Cure - Pornography I remember being young and in high school and I'd take the bus home and wouldn't get into my house until 4pm at which point it was dark in the fall. I would put this on before my parents got home and crank it. It also worked well with their Seventeen Seconds and Faith albums. Edit: LOL. Yeah, maybe I didn't read the OP. You definitely don't want to be listening to these to help you sleep. I guess anything acoustic or quietly atmospheric would work.
  6. Yeah, I mentioned Palladia's pull down menu in my original post. It is possible that when this was supposedly shown it was in fact MHD like this guy said. I remember MHD being blatantly MTV (all types of versions) & VH1 & maybe even CMT programming that "didn't fit" MTV's tough schedule. That being said I'm not sure if everything that was on MHD would be transferred to the Palladia website. That list was missing U2's Vertigo Tour from Chicago for instance that I saw on MHD in an edited form. I also don't seem to remember an announcement about seeing Wilco on Spanish tv for their f
  7. Hmm....I don't remember him doing the voice when I was a kid in the 80s. NSFW, but worth your time.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5_x6ynWBv0&feature=player_embedded

  9. I should have myself checked too because I thought of Company In My Back. The "Holy Shit" didn't help me thinking of something else. Holy Shit, there's a Tornado in my path.....(does it even need to be capitalized?)
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXJ93UMrL2E And Elton playing You're Never Too Old. I'm not sure if my father has the mp3 of this or just the above live solo Elton version. To LouisB: Yep, you're right. My father went to see Leon in February of this year at a local venue that is rather small (seats 200-400 depending on GA or seats) in Londonderry, NH at Tupelo's. He said that he was pretty great and sadly only played for an hour. My dad is pretty excited to see Elton & Leon in NYC this October at the Beacon. I guess they're also doing a show out in Los Angeles at the Palladium. The exc
  11. I don't like any of the 3 songs that my father played me. They're all pretty decent, but seem to come from that same "meh" batch that Elton has been in for awhile. Here is I Should Have Sent Roses (starts at :24 seconds) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98_ii4wbZ20 Album Cover
  12. I went out to Newbury Comics today and spoke to a huge Wilco fan who works there. He went to the Solid Sound Festival on Saturday only and loved it. Then he mentioned how he missed them in 08 at Tanglewood, but saw them in 07 at the Pines and asked if I saw it on tv. I immediately stopped breathing for a second and said "Excuse me?!" He said "yeah man, it was on MHD which is now Palladia (on cable providers with HD). I saw it twice like 2 years ago. It was an hour long and titled An Evening With Wilco. I saw myself dancing with a girl I was dating at the time, so my current girlfriend asked
  13. Surprised no one is talking about the pennant races. The NL looks like the most exciting (at least right now) to follow. NL East Philadelphia took 1st place with (Florida, @ New York, @ Florida, Washington, Atlanta, New York, @ Washington, @ Atlanta ) Atlanta .5 game behind. 2-5 since September began. (@ Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Washington, @ New York, @ Philadelphia, @ Washington, Florida, Philadelphia ) NL Central Reds look like they have it sealed up with (@ Colorado, Pittsburgh, Arizona, @ Houston, @ Milwaukee, @ San Diego, Houston, Milwaukee) St. Louis 6 games back. (@ Milw
  14. The 1st 2 episodes were hilarious and a real pleasure to have them back doing something new and fresh. The 3rd episode was ok and not as funny. Episodes 4-6 were just as funny as the 1st 2. The final 2 episodes are on IFC Friday @10p.m. Or you can pick up the DVD in a store. The show or "mini-series" originally aired this January through March on the CBC. Edit: It's kind of scary to think that Dave Foley looks exactly like Isabella Rossellini. And Mark McKinney looks like A.J. Burnett. Some funny characters: Scott Thompson's Crim Hollingsworth - a Native American with a Canadian accent who
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx0pTIDb-r0&feature=player_embedded Chalk this one up under being confused as to whether or not this is just a commercial? Can anyone confirm this awesomeness?
  16. They almost remade this in 2000 with John Cusack in the Tony Curtis role. Sweet Smell Of Success Remake I forget who the attached director was, but the project disappeared into the night and was never mentioned again.
  17. I don't get that at all. It's almost like being swindled to donate money to a charity with a pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow that is never shown. The paper (which sadly is not online) said that a big part of the costs that they might not recover are ones for advertising which is not known if it is included in the $10,000 figure given. If I was someone who "purchased" a ticket to see Tyler go on about his life and sing 2 songs and he didn't commit to that then I'd be pretty upset about it and I would want my money back. I understand that it was a donation, but it's like giving a girl s
  18. Steven Tyler is in hot water in Concord, New Hampshire. He was supposed to play 9 months ago An Intimate Evening With (blah blah blah) at the same venue that Wilco played in April of this year. Basically, it sounded like nothing special. "An evening of words and music and multimedia fronted by Steven Tyler" aka 2 songs if those folks were lucky. The big smack in the face of the people who ran this event is the fact that the tickets purchased were donations to a local children's charity. Since the show never happened and it doesn't look like it will with him being on American Idol, the peopl
  19. RV Dealer Challenges Twilight's Taylor Lautner to Push-Up Contest Following Lawsuit We all know that Twilight's Taylor Lautner is in good shape -- he spends the majority of his screen time shirtless. I'm willing to bet the buff actor could do a whole lot of push-ups if it came down to it, and it might if an RV dealership owner has his way. Brent McMahon, owner of McMahon's RVs in Irvine, California, has challenged the young actor to a "push-up contest" to settle their legal dispute. Lautner's lawyers filed a breach of contract lawsuit against the dealer, alleging they failed to deliver a $
  20. That was a perfectly reasonable thing for a crazy person to do.
  21. That's a lot of money being thrown around. It must cost $20 per 10 balls to try and dunk Steven Tyler to give him a shower. And $30 donation to cut Bieber's bangs. I think he's covering up some acne.
  22. Try logging out then back in and then use the ID# and the Password. It worked for me that way. The link provided doesn't work, unless if you are signed up already for the specific league.
