  1. You know me so well. Boyohboy does that man work hard for his money, and looks splendid doing it.
  2. Absolutely astonishing pictures, Clay. They are freaking beautiful, as usual.
  3. I'll just bet there are definitely some "keepers" among your pics, Clay! I'm looking forward to seeing them!
  4. Very cool photos, CommerceComet! I have some very fond memories of Cain's.
  5. Wow, now that's a setlist! Thanks, Paul! Now go catch up on sleep. I too love Cain's.
  6. Oh, if you get a cassette, you WILL share with me. That's, like, an administrative order, almost.
  7. It's sort of a crispy, crunchy, fiery sensation that sounds like the late bell at elementary school. Also I smell smoke. Does that help? Why, were you talking about me?
  8. I am a stooka fan, although I haven't yet had the priviledge of an in-person meeting. Someday.
  9. (Look at avatar while reading.) "You talkin' to me? Well I don't see anybody else around here, you talkin' to me?" Kinda like that.
  10. I should dip into that book again.....maybe get some assistance with my 17-yr-old son Brennan, who knows absolutely everything. (No, really!!! He does!!! Just ask him!!!) I think I can feel my hair beginning to thin.
  11. I've just finished reading "Tying Up Your Spirited Child". A wealth of helpful parenting suggestions! Ok, no I haven't. Robyn, that's a terrific book and helped me to view my children less as being headstrong and defiant, at times, and more as having a need for things like transition time between activities. It makes good practical sense, too, if you stop and consider how we, as adults, can build that in for ourselves, whereas children are often expected to just do as we ask, unquestioningly and immediately. It's a kinder approach to them. I got a lot out of that book.

    SNL!

At the risk of sounding like one of those Wilco-can-do-no-wrong types, I have to say that I was pretty satisfied with all of it, given the limitations of the show's format. I saw the band as I know them, relaxed and having a good time, and I truly don't care who gets it or doesn't. The songs left me with a huge smile, and maybe some other listeners who didn't know them had the same reaction. They were who they are, and I was happy to watch it. I really enjoyed it.

    SNL!

Oh, make no mistake, I do too....in fact I want a pair of those cuties for mine own self! Thay are wicked pretty. I meant, "perish the thought!" from the viewpoint of an I-don't-get-this-Wilco-band SNL viewer.....as in, ack! Too much style! They must be pissy!

    SNL!

I loved it. This family was clapping at the tv. And that suit is fabulous.
  16. Yeah man, I even saved you some potato salad and a cupcake! But I wouldn't eat this potato salad now if I were you.....and somebody sat on the cupcake....
  17. Kind of amazing this little one is ok! http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/02/2...y.ap/index.html
  18. This thread has a purpose, so I'm leaving it in place tonight, but with reservations considering the behavior of several posters. I'd have been in here sooner but had internet connection problems most of today. Most of you don't really understand or fully appreciate how much energy, time, and carefully-considered decision making goes into the fairly thankless job of moderating Via Chicago. Our (unpaid) staff works very, very hard to set a tone in these forums that is both open and welcoming to our wide range of members. Differing opinions are a given in any group so large, but a person can d
  19. Amen to that. They always manage to remind me of what's important in life.
  20. What a KICKASS, KICKASS, KICKASS show this is. I never want it to end. Like every Wilco show. DAMN.
  21. Probably, and Jeff would have to give us that hand-on-hip schoolmarm glare so we'd remember to shut up.
