  1. I remember Lisa from her work with John Mellencamp back in the late 80s/early 90s. I'm letting my Hoosier-ness show! She played on The Lonesome Jubilee, Big Daddy, Whenever We Wanted and Human Wheels.
  2. I don't drink nearly as much beer as I used to. I've been known to brew a few gallons before too. Favorites: Beamish Stout Anchor Steam Anchor Small Beer - Hard to find around here. Blue Moon's Pale Moon Belgium style ale. I know, it's not authentic Belgium beer, but I don't care. it's darn good. Rogue Dead Guy Ale - haven't gotten up the nerve to try the Double Dead Guy yet Three Floyds' Alpha King Pale Ale - Best beer from Indiana. If you're in the Midwest, search it out. Well worth it. Upland Wheat - best beer from Bloomington, Indiana. 2002 Great American Beer Festival Gold Metal W
  3. Be sure to check out my pinned thread, "Wilco's Non-Album Tracks." I keep this very up to date.
  4. 3 times if you already bought the US CD. If anyone could point me in the right directions on these, I'd be very grateful. I can't find them anywhere! I'd love to hear "heavy orange" and "asteroid" from the bonus 7" vinyl too. I'm not totally sold on the album yet. Not as good as Easy Tiger, but better than Love is Hell. My favorite tracks are "Fix it" and "Natural Ghost."
  5. Bad Company Here's a couple of great lists http://rateyourmusic.com/list/kabouter/self_titled_songs/ http://rateyourmusic.com/list/electraficti...eponymous_songs
  6. I'm the best man for my brother's wedding next weekend. I've been working on my toast. Anybody got any good toasts I could use?
  7. It's probably not in the original form it had during the Courtesy Move sessions. My guess is that Jay, Ken and John all wrote songs for Courtesy move, or at least John and Jay. These songs were likely two that Jay wrote for the 1996 sessions and then took the recorded tracks and embellished them some for his album. I wasn't disputing that this was a Courtesy Move song, just that Courtesy Move didn't "back up" Jay while recording Bigger than Blue in 2004.
  8. I was at the Indy show and thought it was fantastic! But the Cincy show looks like it was even better. I would have liked to have heard Magick, Fix It and Cold Roses. Looks like he played a couple more "Rock n Roll" tracks. This Is It and Not to Self: Don't Die. Man, great set list. You can listen to the Indy show here: http://www.archive.org/details/radams2008-10-02
  9. Did they "back up" Jay or did he just recycle the original Courtesy Move tracks and add some additional recordings to them? I was always under the impression it was the latter.
  10. Added Tim Easton's "The truth about us" album. Courtesy Move served as the backing band.
  11. I had forgotten about that. Thanks. I'll add it to the discography.
  12. Not that I know of. I've heard "These I'll Provide" and "California" and they're not too bad, but I've never heard of anyone having heard a leak of copy of the "album" if there ever really was a completed album.
  13. You can find some info here: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=34178 # Courtesy Move – Courtesy Move was a side project of Jay Bennett, Ken Coomer and John Stirratt. The recorded an album in 1996 that was never released. Some Courtesy Move songs were recycled for use on Jay Bennett and Edward Burch’s album “Palace At 4 AM” * California – different version than the one found on "Palace At 4 AM" and “Palace 1919" – "California" 45 single * These I'll Provide - "California" 7” single and "Nashville: The Other Side of the Alley" Bloodshot Records compilation CD; Buy from

  20. I say cool. These are very rare and highly collectible. Now the intentions of the purchaser and what they do with the information might be creepy, but the book itself is fascinating. Still too rich for my blood.
  21. .............no, not Laurie, but Betsy. betsystirratt.com She's a faculty member of the IU School of Fine Arts here in Bloomington and runs the SOFA art gallery. She was talking about a mobile art exhibit that she had been working on with students. I'm always hoping I'll run into her at a party or something and convince her to score me some backstage passes. A guy can dream, right?
  22. Ok, I'm game. I've been looking for a league to join! Let the season begin! I'm "Gridiron Gargoyles" I think I'm #10! and I prefer Autodraft, but I could do live if that's the majority preference.
