  1. So........................what does the third eye think?........................
  2. This would be my choice too.
  3. Is this going to be on iTunes? I just want the Tweedy track.................
  4. Thanks for the link, Boots. I really wish I would have gone. It would have been the highlight of a rather gloomy week. How was the Dahli Lama? I saw him at Assembly Hall soon after I moved to Bloomington. It was like 2001, maybe. It was free then. I was a little turned off by the $30 ticket prices this time.
  5. Can you quote your source? Where did you get this track listing?
  6. OK, gotcha. But what does a "single" really mean anymore? Are they going to release a physical CD single to stores? Are radio stations bound to just play the "single" and not anything else from an album? "Single" means about as much to me as "b-side" anymore!
  7. Exactly. Don't get bent out of shape, people. This isn't that odd, especially for Wilco, since they did it for the last two albums. Doesn't anyone remember the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Australian Tour Edition/More Like the Moon EP? or the a ghost is born Australian Tour Edition/free web EP download? Same situation there. Tour edition to support the band's tour outside the US and then free download of the same tracks for those of us in the USA that already bought the album. Wilco is very good to its fans. Here's my guess for a track listing: The Thanks I Get – already released as a web
  8. 6. When You Find Trouble - Uncle Tupelo How did I miss this? Is there a way to listen to an older podcast? Not just the recent one? Has anyone stripped this song from the podcast and would be willing to provide an MP3?

    Indianapolis?

I like Wikipedia as a starting point for research. Yes, there's a lot of sh*t, but hey, it's an open collaborative thing. I just edited the Brian Henneman page. If you don't like my edits, feel free to edit it again!
  10. Yes, many of these are still available commercially or "free with purchase" of the albums. While I agree that it would be cool to make this available for easy download, like the other singles discs that are floating around, I don't think the band would think it's cool. I made one for myself and love it. That being said, here's a couple you missed: [*]The Good Part
  11. Are you talking about an official B-sides compilation? Yeah, I'd like to see one of those too. It might be difficult for Wilco since they would have to deal with licensing from two different record labels, but no impossible. Uncle Tupelo were able to put out their "89/93: Anthology" despite two different record labels, Sire and Rockville. But they had to sue Rockville Records/Dutch East India Trading to secure rights to the albums. And even without these issues, I suspect the licensing is difficult for songs released on Charity compilations/Soundtracks and for covers. When U2 released t
  12. I might buy one live album per tour. I just can't see them doing the Phish/Pearl Jam route. If they had a bigger fan base, I might see the next day download, but not hard CDs.
  13. I'd love to hear that version too. That would be really cool if you could post it.
  14. Thanks for the links. i was just listening to AM this weekend. Great songs on there. Glad to hear them again. Think this is a result of the on-line request system?
  15. Wow. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I was just listening to AM this weekend while building my son's swingset. Good stuff.
  16. I've met Kunstler. He's kind of a douchebag. That being said................................... I echo these remarks. I spent a week in March hanging drywall and insulation in the Upper 9th Ward. I hope to go back in December and do more. The people there are great and very appreciative of the volunteers from across the country that have come to help rebuild. If you do go to New Orleans, take time to get outside of the French Quarter and tourist areas and talk to the real people who's live have been forever changes by the storm and flooding. Drive through the Lower 9th Ward or th
  17. Thanks for the updates and links. I'm going to have to check out that Marvin Tate album.
  18. I agree. The best scenes in the book. I couldn't put it down. My wife's been really annoyed with me the last few days. I hated the epilogue, though. Too neat, tidy and for the "hard core fans." I like my ending a little more ambiguous. And great avatar, Sir Stewart. Bono doesn't get enough love around here.
  19. Ear plugs (for snoring room mates) can opener local post office box. I moved three times when I was in college. My wife moved 5 times. Between the moving, lazy roommates and thieving fraternity brothers, I wish I had had a consistent mailing address.
  20. Just found this thread. I'm excited about this album. I remember seeing them on the "Big Red Letter Day" tour back in 1994 at this little hole in the wall all-ages club in Indianapolis. Fantastic show.
  21. Ryan Adams - "Blue Sky Blues" off of "29"
  22. Buy one CD-RW and keep using it over and over and over and over. That's what I do now that jhymn doesn't work right for me any more.
  23. Thanks for the tip! I just purchased it. This whole "album only" cr*p is for the birds.
