Ooooo...tasty. Who's doing the background vocals on that?

Thanks for the link. Nice to see confirmation of the DVD. Can't wait to see the track list for disc 3.

It's on Spotify. I'm listening now. The new mix of Fool King's Crown is the one that;s mst noticably differnt.

I've heard a lot of people say that, but when I heard the leak, I was like, "yuck, is this what the whole ablum is going to sound like?" and it imemdiately turned me off on it.

Ditto. Saw "The Five" in 97 and 99. The 97 show was fanastic at a small club in Indianapolis. the 99 show was at a large univeristy auditorium when they were promoting "Reinhold Messner." It was just OK. Ben's last 2 albums have done nothing for me, hopelly Robert and Jesse can breathe some rock back into him.

Just saw this today too. Plus we have the iTunes session coming out tomorrow.

By "They" do you mean Wilco? Yeah, most likely. If by "They" you mean their record company, then now it doesn't make any difference. The band and the lable are essentially one and the same. When they were with Nonesuch, did they get advances on albums? If so, the label then was "payinh" for thier time in the loft, right? I really have no idea. I just know that it'll likely be years before thier any sort of carrer spanning compilation or b-side/outtakes disc and I'm OK with that.

First I've heard of it. Did you check out sonvolt.com? Looks like it's not expected out until the Fall. He may not have even recorded much for it yet! Here's an interview where he talks a little about new songs/album. Looks like Son Volt is relasing TODAY a digital download of alternate mixes and re-mastered track from 2003's Terroir Blues sessions.
-
But that's spread across 3 different record labels. Has to make licensing agreements a bear. I'd take a DVD/Blue Ray over a CD any day. And I agree with the looking forward vs. looking backwards. I don't see Wilco looking backwards any time soon, unless it's Reprise putting out reissues on their own.

Just listened to it. the clip is short but I believe you're right, that's definately Tweedy. I've been a fan of Tweedy since before Wilco existed and I never knew of this recording. My guess is that it's never been leaked.
-
Wow, that's a new one for me. Was it actually played in the movie or just listed in the credits? I've never seen the film. Is it possible that it was recorded for the movie but not used and then never released?
-
Thank for looking those up! The second 2 are actually already on the list. I posted about the first one, but no one responded and I forgot about it! http://viachicago.org/topic/45870-handshake-drugs-live-in-studo/page__hl__woodstock__fromsearch__1

I was working as a DJ at my small liberal arts college radio station during my freshman year in 1993/94. We played Uncle Tupelo's "Long Cut plus 5 live" promo ep on pretty heavy rotation. After hearing it and loving it I was crushed when I learned that band had broken up before I got a chance to see them. Bought A.M. (as well as Trace) as soon as it came out.

Anyone know what the broadcast date will be?
-
Nice. Everything I'd read on here was about a re-issue/box set. A third volume of new recordings? Awesome.

Thoughts on Facebooks timeline function...
jcroach replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
I have one friend who's enabled the timeline. It's nothing to be worried about really. It's just a re-branding of their profile pages with an added feature to let you archive actions easier and find past actions easier. https://www.facebook.com/about/timeline -
I couldn't get that link to work. Here's another: http://www.cbs.com/late_night/liveonletterman/ryan_adams/video/
