  1. They've released 5 Tweedy/Bennett solo tracks on promos. They are all excellent. Box Full of Letters (Tweedy & Bennett) (11-20-1996 C’est What, Toronto, ON) - “Summerteeth and Sum Aren’t” promo CD Forget The Flowers (Tweedy & Bennett) (11-20-1996 C’est What, Toronto, ON) - “Summerteeth and Sum Aren’t” promo CD I Got You (Tweedy & Bennett) (7-9-1997 Lounge Ax, Chicago, IL) - “All Over the Place” promo 10” LP Red Eyed & Blue (Tweedy & Bennett) (11-20-1996 C’est What, Toronto, ON) - “Summerteeth and Sum Aren’t” promo CD Sunken Treasure (Tweedy & Bennett) (11-20-1996 C’
  2. Yes, you are correct. It states: Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco) Jay Bennett (of Wilco) "Jay Bennett" is not list as a featured performer on the album. My assumption is that the included track is a Jay/Jeff performance from when Jay was "with" Wilco.
  3. Interesting. This article: http://pitchfork.com/news/43059-elliott-smith-modest-mouse-strokes-wilco-bright-eyes-spoon-shins-pearl-jam-on-benefit-comp/ States that Jay Bennett appears with Wilco. They dug deep for that one.
  4. Anyone know anything about this? I haven't seen it mentioned on the board. http://greydayproductions.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_music_info&cPath=1_59&products_id=219 Live From Nowhere Near You Vol II 3xCD + MP3 PRE-ORDER Live From Nowhere Near You Vol II 3xCD + MP3 PRE-ORDER larger image Add to Cart: $15.00 Charity Info: All profits from this release will be donated to Outside In, a local non-profit focused on providing aid and counseling to homeless youth. 5. Thanks for the links. I've only included officially released tracks on the main list. Maybe someone else might want to start a list of demos (like corduroy cut-off girl), covers(like this one) and live only songs(Millionaire), etc.
  6. Added new "I Might" single and rare tracks from The Autumn Defense.
  7. Looks like he played 6 new songs Monday night in sweden
  8. I love the "Slaughterhouse Five" shirt Tweedy had on in those videos.
  9. Saw them open for Brett Dennen last week in Indy. They all took the stage for a encore of Steve Miller's "Swingtown." It really fit the mood of the show! Met Brett after the show. Nice guy.
  10. We'll be able to add this soon! From Wilco's Facebook: "News flash: New Wilco 7" single for sale at the Solid Sound Festival this June. The A-side is a new Wilco tune called "I Might" and it's b/w a cover of the Nick Lowe-penned "I Love My Label." This will be the first release on dBpm Records and will be available to the rest of the world sometime in July. More recording news to come very, very soon. Standby." Yeah! New Wilco!
  11. Anyone know anything about a kid's artist named Gustafer Yellowgold? I noticed on Amazon today that he has 2 tracks featuring Pat Sansone and John Stirratt. Beehive from "Gustafer Yellowgold's Infinity Sock" Sugar Boat from "Gustafer Yellowgold's Mellow Fever" Wikipedia says that he's opened for Wilco before. Anyone attend any of those shows?
  12. Studio or Live? Studio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mermaid_Avenue http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mermaid_Avenue_Vol._II And "Jolly Banker." Live: most of those songs, plus other. I don't have a list. Go here: http://wilcobase.com/songs.php
  13. I thought the same thing. Did anyone pull down any audio before the video was pulled?
  14. I agree. After hearing his horrible rendition of this song, I went back and listened to some of his other song. They weren't that bad. I haven't watched American Idol since Season 5. I don't really miss it. At least they didn't credit the song to the performer of a cover version, like when they credited "When the Stars Go Blue" to Tim McGraw a few years ago! Come on, really?!?
  15. New album is streaming on Facebook. Sounds good! I'm missing their show at the Paradise in Boston in April by one day! Show's on Friday and I fly in on Saturday. AURGH!
  16. I have his book. It's not bad. Kind of shows their lives in parallel and how he thought it should have been him and his band getting the fame. It could have been really annoying, but it wasn't. Good read.
  17. Anyone know if it's easy to cross the Charles River from the North End to Charlestown/Bunker Hill area on foot? What's the best route? Any parts of town to avoid?
  18. That was technically billed as a Bono and Gavin Friday track. Next year they'll probably repackage all of Bono's solo tracks for the Fan Club.
  19. Yeah, I just read that today too. Only ones I don't have are the Soweto Gospel Choir tracks, the tracks with Rihanna and Jay-Z and the Mick Jagger RnRHOF track. Nothing very exciting there. Turned down tickets offer to me by a friend to the Soldier Field concert in July. No way I'm paying $300 for a pair of concert tickets!
  20. This the place? http://www.franklincafe.com/
  21. Is the Bunker Hill Monument worth the trip? How about the USS Constitution tour? Is the "Union Oyster House" good or a tourist trap? I've heard good things about Mike's Pastry Shop in the North End.
