I know folks here will hate on it, because it's the indie way, but Yessongs (1973) was a monster electric jam out -
good call, that fits in with Blue Hippo and Georgia vs. Yo La Tengo

I kind of agree with you but love 'em both -- I never get tired of listening to Neil live with Crazy Horse -
Wow - I was just with the family in Toronto less than a week ago, so I actually know exactly where this is. Nothing like a little personal perspective to open your eyes to a news story you would have previously glossed over . . .

Agreed, I like the new REM pretty well, and New Adv. is my personal favorite. I'd put Accelerate on the accumulating best of list right now.

Is this at Tanglewood in NC? I've vacationed there before and thought about it this year. Does this mean I could have seen an outdoor Wilco show while I was chillin'? If I way off base, let me know because I'm clueless as to this show . . .

Every single frat party I went to in college at W&M played SD's "My Old School". Still I love them. "Oh, no . . .William and Mary won't do!"

Great day, I always loved that your name here was intentionally picked from two of my favorite bands.

Well, it's very very nice to be remembered fondly by the VC folkies. I love all of you!! I did get back into VC a little a few weeks ago as some of you know, but then I went on vacation to the Rock and Roll Hall, Niagara and Toronto this past week. What a great time -- and I dreamed a little dream about there someday being a Wilco exhibit at the Hall! I'll be around some, how could I not with such good e-friends . . . until then, HOGWEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!

There's a huge swath of this country where the Katrina debacle still looms larger than the war as an issue on the campaign trail

I went to one of those campaigny-type house party/town meeting things the other night and we drank a lot of beer. I mean a bunch, folks.
