  1. I think his velocity can still be questioned. That being said, great game! Congrats to Kate and her MLBBF Mark Buehrle.
  2. Personal favorite: the new Stooges song, "ATM", features the lyric "The Stooges fight poverty in secret." Hilarious. Best lyric ever.
  3. How many games do you think that will translate to for the Tigers this year?
  4. F-Rod (yeah, that's what I'm calling Rodney now) already gave up a run. It's not looking good.
  5. Yeah, I agree that she's not so bad, nepatriots.
  6. This describes my feelings about the album perfectly. It's not a bad album, but not up to the usual standards, in my opinion. I'm glad for everyone who is digging this album, but personally, I'm disappointed.
  7. She's been on tour for a year. Probably been partying pretty hard, considering her age and how quickly her fame rose. Exhaustion seems pretty reasonable.
  8. "Double Bass" by Gorillaz "Double Feature" by Luna (2 versions) The entirety of the Minutemen album Double Nickels On the Dime "orange"
  9. NP: Mike Watt & the Pair of Pliers, Live @ Higher Ground, Winooski, VT, 10/8/00
  10. It was released in the summer. I really don't want to, but I like both of her songs I've heard. I can't help it.
  11. That's horrible. Hopefully this will at least bring some closure to everyone that's been missing him all this time. Definately not in the way anyone would have wanted though. I hope you and your friends are taking care of each other.
  12. Who opened the show at the Fox? I can't really picture them playing there. I saw Iggy solo at the State, and that was weird enough with him humping all the statues and stuff. The Fox is way too ornate. Was that a seated show? I can't imagine that they would have pulled the seats out of the Fox, but at the same time, a seated Stooges show seems wrong.
  13. Ah, that makes a whole lot more sense. Thanks.
  14. Supposedly he wanted to fight the ref? Seems awfully out of character.
  15. That was my first Wilco show too, although I was much newer to them at that point than you were. I bought tickets, but Ticketmaster sent them to my old address and I wasn't able to recover them. Ended up having to buy another set of tickets, because at that point I was in deep and could not miss the show. The tickets that were sent to my old house were much better seats than the ones I ended up with, so that was a bummer, but that was one hell of a show. I've seen them several times since then, and I think that's still the best Wilco show that I saw.
  16. I really enjoyed Shellac. The Stooges were awesome. I saw them in 2003, and that was a better show, but mostly just from the excitement of them being reunited. This was a high energy show, and the band sounded great. I thought it was weird that they ended with the song from Iggy's solo album, but otherwise no real complaints. The new stuff even fit into the set pretty well.
  17. Update! I am a much better roto player than I am head-to-head. Or maybe it's just the crazy 10 x 10 head-to-head league I'm in that I can't figure out. Anyway, here's where I stand (in bold) in the my two leagues. Roto: 1. The Neifi Index 72.5 2. Notorious PAPI III 53.5 3. Yankee Ed 45.5 4. The Whistle Tips 42 4. Horndawgs 42 6. Birdswagon 40 7. Sheffield for Savior 34 8. Last Men Standing 30.5 Head-to-head: 1. Weeping's Wantons 20-9-7 .653 2. Team Name Pending 21-12-3 .625
  18. I usually don't, but hey, listen to whatever music you want to.
  19. Congratulations Indians fans (are there any here?). It looks as though you'll finally be getting your home opener tonight.
  20. Ah, I guess that shows how closely I follow the Cubbies. And I don't think the frowny face was showing up for me before. Or else I'm just blind. Oh well.
  21. I thought Prior got hurt in his rehab start the other day.
