Easy now. I wasn't attacking your club. I've seen Wilco many times (well over 50) with a good part of those being in clubs. I've had experiences both good and bad. This is a $120 ticket we're talking about. Would I pay $120 for a sold out general admission show in a bar? No. Would I pay $30-$50 for a sold out general admission show in a bar? Every chance I get. It could have been any venue. It just happened to be 9:30.

I paid $120 to see Neil Young 3rd row center with a backstage pass to meet him.

I have the ca$h but I'd never pay that price. Maybe if it was a theater with no alcohol and a seat in the first 3 rows center. Never in an over crowded over sold club where 25% of the people there prolly never heard a Wilco song, 25% have heard a song but are there to meet up w/friends and talk while slamming brews, 25% like Wilco but aren't die hard enough to not sing every song in your ear and get plowed and 25% are die hard or courteous to other people and are there to hear the music, not Joe and Josephine Blow talk or sing all night. My numbers maybe off but somewhat close. Plus as Hodie

Best show on the idiot box. For me anyhow. I've never heard of either of those shows.

10 albums you must hear this autumn...

Yeah. I think it is. I like it. Thanks for the link j. -
I'm paid through November of 06' but have no problem re-upping a little earlier. You know what they say "Strike while the iron is hot cause I might be broke later on". Well not exactly but close. I appreciate the good people ("Our Administrators") who do an excellent job keeping the site going so well. The least I (we) can do is throw in a few bucks once a year. After all, of the few boards I visit this is the only one that has to do with music. It's the only one I need.

I'm only good for an album or two at a time. I mean to really get to know them and appreciate the music. To know whether it's good, bad or I'm indifferent. I'm still very high on Modern Times which completely took over from the new Tom Petty which I thought was pretty good until Dylan came to town. Hopefully I can get back to the Petty. I'm looking forward to the new Richard Buckner, MMJ and Beck . It looks like I'll have at least a little time between releases of those three. Thanks for posting the info on these. I'm really out of touch. -
Me too. You can read through it. That's how often it was washed. I bought it at the show. I can't throw things like that away.

It's not official but what the hey. For $13-$14 delivered it might be worth a shot. Email the seller and see what brand the shirt is. If it's a "beefy t" or an eqivalent, plus he has promised the image is quality. And as Pocahontas says check the feedback. You can also see their last deals & if others were satisfied.

Nice picture Tug. Very cool. Those good ol' boys were asking for a ton of trouble channeling "Tonight's The Night". I bought the LWW and Greatest Hits shirts from musictoday. Bought em' each with the disc they were promoting. Song list on the back. I skipped the shirts on the CSNY tour. I thought about buying one online untill I saw musictoday wanted $8.80 shipping for one and $13.55 shipping for two. And that was the cheapest. I imagine Ebay is the best bet for an "original" TTN shirt. I belive I saw one go for $60-$70 a good while back. A friend of mine has one. He wears it sparingly.

20th Century Ghosts ~ Joe Hill. Very spooky book of short stories. After all Halloween is on the way. P.S. ~ Joe Hill was eventually outed AFTER the glowing reviews. He's Joe Hill King. Stephen's son.

When I was a wee lad I absolutely loved Missile Command. Maybe not a wee lad but at least a bit of a lad.

I finally get to see Drive-By Truckers. Northampton Ma. 9/20 @Pearl St. We've always missed each other for one reason or another. DBT have been in heavy rotation in my world for quite a while now. I've been listening since Southern Rock Opera but Decoration Day sealed it for me. From what I've heard Bobby Bare Jr. the opener also brings the goods live. As a side note I also got tickets earlier this A.M. for James Taylor "One Man Band". 6th row direct center, Calvin Theater, Northampton Ma. I'm not sure who here can relate to this but he is one of my all time favorites. Solo acoustic should b

Really. What a drag. Who wants to see that?

My apologies if this has been brought up already I don't visit daily(hourly) like I once did. I followed GloNo's thread to a video of Tim Easton playing some new music acoustic and alone. It sounded really fine. Can anyone tell me if the whole album is that good? I'll buy it sooner or later but if it's that good I'll make it sooner.

Amen. It was meant as a joke. I've read my share of Camus and it just struck a cord with me that 'W' would read him (and comprehend him) when he can barely read his own speeches. I thought it was genuinely funny. I mean with the state of the world and the U.S.A. in general who can't use a good laugh? Leno gets on Bush every night. When I logged on after a couple of days I was surprised this thread went the way it did. Why can't Bush backers take a joke? They elected one. A very dangerous one at that.

I think you give the man too much credit. Did you follow the link at the bottom of that page. It leads to clips that answer the all too answerable question entitled "Is Bush An Idiot"? http://www.crooksandliars.com/posts/2006/0...-bush-an-idiot/

Timberlake hopes Idol winner's not GAY!
Willkoman replied to tugmoose's topic in Someone Else's Song
Seemed more of a slam at rednecks than at gays. I've never seen the show but I recognize that guy from the Ford commercial. No wonder Ford's in financial trouble. For Justin that was being controversial to sell his new disc. Weak ass controversy. I really posted to complement Tug on his sig/pic. Great movie. One of my all time favorites. -
You can also see it on the Comedy Central: Motherload site much clearer than you tube: http://www.comedycentral.com/motherload/pl...p;is_large=true classic Neil.
