I bought a presale copy from the band's site last week. I figured there would be no way copies would end up in Canada. And then, Saturday morning, there it was. I did find a copy. I was disappointed by the RSD cover (not nearly as good as the real cover) and the price ($35). Plus it felt like it must be incredibly thin vinyl. So I'm glad I went the presale route.

Is it just me or has it been that kind of night?

I think this is exactly right. If you want the dog crate trained, you'll have to put up with a few nights of the noise in the beginning. This won't traumatize the dog. In fact, after a couple of weeks, I suspect the crate will become a "safe place" and the dog will go there if/when it's stressed out. But you have to hang in there now (the ear plugs are a good suggestion).

First North American date I've seen for Arcade Fire. I would have posted to UKK but I am blocked at work. Figured you would see this pretty quickly if no one else did.

Frontgate certainly isn't perfect. Their online system is a bit hit and miss and their shipping fees to Canada are outrageous. Plus they don't send your tickets for ages.

All I ever hear on the radio is so-and-so wins the Black Eyed Peas tickets or so-and-so wins the Def Leppard tickets. Still hopping that they somehow end up at the Bluesfest here in Ottawa.
