Jealous! I'm actually missing the boys a lot lately. Back in the day, we'd be all geared up and waiting for summer tour. Used to be my annual summer vacation for years.

Were you at that show?

Actually, my guy included that show in my recently received package as well. He raved about the recording of 10/10, so thats the one I started with. A great AUD recording is a wonderful thing.....in some ways more dynamic than a great soundboard.....being able to hear crowd reactions and interactions with the band during a show gives ya the "I'm there" feel to it.

I listened to 10/10/82 Frost/Stanford last nite. Its an audience recording thats sounds beeee-yu-tiful. Warm and crispy, like the band is 30 feet away. Highly recommended if'n you like AUDs. One of the best lives shows I've ever seen was Fela Kuti at the Vic in 2000. Simply amazing.

I saw American Gangster the other nite. It moved me so little that I cant recall if I actually saw the ending or not. I may have just turned it off and shuffled off to bed.

Ecuador is a very nice place. Havent been there since they converted to the US dollar but it was one very, very affordable place to spend time. People are friendly, scenery is beautiful and if you like volcanoes, its the place to be.

My brother in law hung himself late last year. He emailed a coworker before he did it, stating something about work problems being too great to deal with. He left behind a lot of very confused people (over 2000 people came to the wake) and handed his 3 teenage daughters a big shit sandwich. I'm still pissed off at his selfishness. (In retrospect, not much of a tribute....sorry about that)

This story has gotten ZERO coverage from television media. F'n pathetic. Just thinking about the last 7.5 years makes me want to puke.

I always thought the "chick" was Phil, kidding around about an apparently very common tune request. One show back then features Phil saying "....white rabbit, g'dammit, white rabbit..." Every time I hear that one, I crack up.

There's no reason to scale a fish. One can actually separate the flesh from the skin by using a sharp knife. I havent scaled a fish after I learned this method.
