I owned this one long before my son was born and it's been a keeper for him, for me, and for just about everybody I've played it for. I'm on copy #3.

Yeah, I liked it too. Especially Sergio Castellitto. He was fabulous.

Any Bob Marley record, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jeff Tweedy...

I was a big Brent fan. I loved seeing his eyes bugging out of his head, singing his heart out on tunes such as "Blow Away" or "Easy to Love You', while playing a mean organ solo, feeding Garcia. I was fortunate to catch quite a few Brent shows growing up in California in the 80s, a hotbead for GD shows in the day. He was definitely a source of inspiration for Jerry.

I love Summer Sun. That record made me go from kinda liking YLT to absolutely loving them. The new album is better though. I am liking it more than all their albums right now.

I agree. This record is fabulous. I love Pass the Hatchet and The Room Got Heavy a lot. Can't get enough.
-
They're too much of a distraction. I would like this record more without her. I like the songs though.

You should listen to RA/GW do "Return of the Grevious Angel", probably from the same show. (Sorry, I don't have a copy of it in front of me).

I had to work last night but usually go to DiPiazza's. This will be my first time to see them in L.A. I'm leaving right now to catch Watt's set with Los Punkinhedz. Free gig in San Pedro. Then to see Banyan.

Hey all you SoCal music lovers. It's another one of my "come out and see Banyan" posts. Seriously, these guys effin' rule. Nels Cline will be playing tonight. If you haven't seen them, come out tonight and join the frenzy. If you have, you know what I mean. Line-up for tonight: Stephen Perkins - Drums Mike Watt - Bass Nels Cline - Guitar Willie Waldman - Trumpet Norton Wisdom - Paint The Mint 6010 W. Pico Los Angeles, Ca

Yes. Also, the main character writes a column under the name Miss Lonelyhearts and he too is a man. Weird huh?
