  2. If you ever go to see Nels Cline play with Banyan, you will probably lift your jaw off the floor and agree with me that guitar solos DO NOT suck.
  3. I friend of mine introduced me to Serge Gainsbourg a couple years ago. Classic French pop.
  4. That's exactly what I was thinking. Great combination.
  5. I agree. This tune and this album totally do it for me. When she screams "Come On!", it's totally Lucinda. I can see the comparisons to World Without Tears but I think this album is much better.
  6. Best place on the web. I think I visit VC more than any other site. It's kinda weird to think that I couldn't find a good Wilco discussion area anywhere about 5 years ago.
  7. Thanks for the Lifter Puller recommendation. It's definitely more to my liking than The Hold Steady. He's got a really great style. I also checked out Separation Sunday and prefer it to Boys and Girls. It's been a month or 2 since I heard the latter but I thought it was just ok.
  8. I grabbed this one, not knowing anything about him and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
  9. Fingerlings 3 and Mysterious Production of Eggs
  10. We know that it can be difficult to differentiate what is good or bad for your child. With that in mind Love God's Way has created this powerful tool to let you see some bands and entertainment that is safe for your children. Safe Music: UnderOath Cyndi Lauper Falling Up Flyleaf THE TURNING Disciple P.O.D By The Tree Scott Reed Michael W. Smith Jars of Clay DC Talk Danielson
  11. I really enjoyed Grizzly Man. " I believe the common denominator in the universe is not harmony but chaos, hostility and murder." - Werner Herzog
  12. I read this a few years ago and really enjoyed the time spent with it. Definitely not for the casual reader. I was amazed at how Wallace had the patience to write all that. He's obviously very dedicated to his work. Somewhat of a genius you might say.
  13. I love this record. I put off listening to it for a couple months and now I'm excited for its release. It really only took me one listen to be hooked, which hasn't happen to much in the past year.
  14. Dark Star Orchestra would have to be considered to be one of the greatest tribute bands ever. Hugely successful here in the States. I have never seen them but I hear they're fantastic.
  15. Javon Walker has done it again. He has been a savior for my fantasy team.
