Where to start with The Grateful Dead?

I almost double posted what you just said. Anyway, you persuaded me to dig out my copy of this show just for the Playin'. I love watching the look on Jerry's face during the peak of that jam when he is obviously somewhere else. -
I don't know .I believe we split the season series. It will probably be decided by total points.

Chopped Salad! It's a close one between you and I. Good luck to you and Chester Taylor tonight.

My 6 year old was raised on Wilco and other great bands. He still appreciates them, but he loves to tune in to Metal Mania on VH1 Classic on Saturday nights.

The Wiyos - Vaudevillian Ragtime Blues, Hillbilly Swing and Old Time Country I saw these guys at a small music shop up in LA and fell in love with them. My roommate caught them at a The Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in Winfield, KS and dragged me up to this show. Go see them if they come around your parts. http://truthfacerecordings.com/wiyos/

I have a question. I just got an 80 gig Ipod and have it loaded up about half way with a bunch of my favorite albums. I like that they are all complete. I want to add some playlists provided by VCers in the top 10 songs thread without disrupting the completeness of the albums. I don't want one song showing up as representing an entire album when I use the 'albums' function. Is this possible?

This almost made the cut for my top 10 as well. Choosing 10 songs is hard. -

China Doll 5/21/74 This is such a wonderful song and to hear Jerry nail the vocals like he does here is pure bliss. I get goosebumps every time I hear this. Also, the 45 minute Playin' to follow is fantastic. If you haven't heard this one, go listen at archive.org. -
Myspace still seems to be going strong. I was anti until I moved from Oklahoma to California last year and it's been an excellent tool to keep in close contact with good friends all over the country. It also keeps me up to date with my favorite artists' local happs. I don't need another one of these things.

I've always felt that "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure is the greatest pop song ever.

I was pleasantly surprised to walk in at the beginning of this during my lunch break today. I got most of it recorded.

Yeah, mostly. It's just that I've never seen them do anything to get the crowd more involved or bring the energy level up to get people out of their seats. I love their music, though.

I've seen them a few times and although they sounded great they never seemed to move the crowd. Don't get me wrong, they are one of my favorite bands and I would go see them in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't recommend them to just anybody.
