It pained me deeply but I had to vote for Boxer being a better album than Lu's. I love Lu so much but this release didn't grab me at all. Some of it is excellent but a lot of it feels almost contractual obligation, even though it probably isn't. Oh well, a patchy album...everyone has some of those. She will always have a place in my heart for Blue and Lake Charles alone.

It's a long bloody album though, will take a while to get into and dissect. Still undecided on the Shonna songs.

I suppose that really depends on if you like Wyatt in the first place. I had heard enough of his stuff to take a gamble on it and have been very pleasantly surprised with it. The Kaiser Twats on the other hand should be set on fire.

That's a damn fine point you make there. I really don't know how anyone watches those late night talk shows, they trulay are unfunny. Only the musical guests the have sometimes redeems them.

Yeah, I will take the inconvenience of airport security over anything endangering people too. I was hauled out of the line for the plane to New York in Dec 2005 when the Homeland Security guys at Shannon saw my Irish passport and then read my place of birth. They told me that ideally I should have a US passport the next time I travelled to the US to avoid any hassles like being pulled out of the line again. So now, I have two passports and no feckin' cash to travel! I have also felt a whole lot more comfortable travelling thru many Eastern European and Asian countries than I ever did
