I have probably said this before, but my logic is Democrats are slightly more likely to do something to help me out than Republicans, so I vote Democrat more than nine times out of 10. There are a few Republicans I vote for, but that's because I know them personally and think they are good dudes.

Too bad you did not get value for your money. A REAL teachers' union, like the one we have here in New York, would never have allowed Prop 13 to even get on a ballot, much less pass. -

It's OK. Both my mom and my dad's families are all Catholic up until my dad's mom switching to Episcopalian (Catholic Lite). My mom I don't think goes to Mass, but she is really into St. Kateri Tekawitha, as my mom is half-Mohawk.

Not being a Catholic, I don't really know what goes on there, but it has always seemed to me to be a strongly hierarchical organization. I suppose irked parishioners could vote with their feet, as some people I know have done.
