  1. I have probably said this before, but my logic is Democrats are slightly more likely to do something to help me out than Republicans, so I vote Democrat more than nine times out of 10. There are a few Republicans I vote for, but that's because I know them personally and think they are good dudes.
  2. Too bad you did not get value for your money. A REAL teachers' union, like the one we have here in New York, would never have allowed Prop 13 to even get on a ballot, much less pass.
  3. Do they not have those sinister all-powerful death machines known as "teachers' unions" in your states?
  4. And launching a nuclear strike against Mecca!

  8. Can't prove a negative. How can Obama PROVE he's not a Muslim or PROVE that he doesn't hate America?

I like Nels. I think there are times live where he accesses the plane where angels live.
  16. Hey, I will stick up for Jimmy Carter. Carter's role in bringing about the Egypt-Israeli peace accord is precisely the sort of thing they made the Nobel Peace Prize for.
  17. It's OK. Both my mom and my dad's families are all Catholic up until my dad's mom switching to Episcopalian (Catholic Lite). My mom I don't think goes to Mass, but she is really into St. Kateri Tekawitha, as my mom is half-Mohawk.
  18. Not being a Catholic, I don't really know what goes on there, but it has always seemed to me to be a strongly hierarchical organization. I suppose irked parishioners could vote with their feet, as some people I know have done.
