  1. I think i have the creepiest of street view stories. I looked up my old apartment from last summer only to see friends of mine chilling on the porch! Its 3745 N.Clark, Chicago, Il. look across the street from the metro, next to the hot dog joint, weird, no?
  2. Yeah its about that far for me too. I don't think I'm gonna be able to do it, although I'd love too. As of right now I'm doing Summerfest in Milwaukee and the chicago show. as for the rest of the weekend, tonight: Set One: Wake of The Flood Set Two: Blues For Allah. Sunday: Set One: Shakedown Street and Set Two: Terripian (What a way to close things out). Hopefully ALL of these tunes stay in the repertoire over the summer. I still think Phil has some tricks up his sleeves for sunday outside of guests. A Three set show 80's style would be an appropriate ending. Acoustic and two ele
  3. pretty sure it was lastwaltzer, as it was on bobdylan.com I remember your handle for sure. I agree is amazing the way Dylan has incorporated all these sources, I just think Modern Times is extremely lazy in comparison to Love And Theft. Modern Times has a few tracks with lyrics that just make my face contort.
  4. I got ya. Possibly. That track from Lucky You was even worse then anything on Modern Times. I think he still has another good album in (if not great) I just think he needs to find a new band and probably go into the studio with some other creative people.

  6. I was on the pool as well, so was Froggie. I was on the Oh Shit! Not another Dylan Tribute record too.
  7. http://www.archive.org/details/paf2008-05-13.neumann.flac16 first night of the warfeild run, havent listen to much of it yet, but its a decent recording.
  8. Not at all surprising, same thing happened last tour. The guy has a huge following and there aren't too many shows.
  9. That sucks (speaking of D.C.), I don't know what else the venue could do though then refund the tickets. I'm suspired their even offering tickets for the camden show.
  10. No need to apologize! I like it too, it was just a funny list. You had some classics nobody could argue and then snuck in the controversial one at the end. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ENOUGH LOVE FOR GOOD AS I BEEN TO YOU OR WORLD GONE WRONG THIS THREAD IS MAKING ME SICK! GAWD!
  11. Normally I wouldn't reply to a statement like this since everyone can have an opinion but since I'm causing you physical discomfort already I'd figured I might as well easy the pain with an explantation........ Its because Modern Times is one of the most forgettable records Dylan's ever released. Just because Rolling Stone gave it a good write up doesn't make it a classic. Sure Dylan is going to talk about the album and the shite band he is touring with, he is a businessman (see the commercials). He's just making sure you buy the next one (as if we all wouldn't anyway)..... Love and
  12. well i've herd that rumor, but i don't know if I buy it. It does sound like its mostly Robertson on guitar though.
  13. wow, I can't believe how much information they've got on there. I guess I know what i'll be reading when i get out of class. ETA: I guess i got lucky by clicking of 4 and seeing a wealth of information, most of the others just have track lists.
  14. Live 66 is something else. Does anyone else think Dylan doesn't play on it (the second disc)?
  15. hmmmmmm my favorite? I don't think I have one. I think I'd have to say they all have something worth hearing even Down In The Groove. Lately Love and Theft has been a favorite but thats probably due to the fact that Mississippi is on there.
  16. Any recommendations for a dicks picks? What are your favorites and why? I only have 8 and am looking to grab some more. Is the so many roads box set worth picking up? for some reason I remember people have complaints with it.
  17. yes they did. I can't believe it a 40 min. dark star, when was the last time that happened? Were the stephens played the same? I hear rumors that that was the last of the full albums and that phil has some other tricks up his sleeve, i guess time will tell. I am shooting myself in the foot right now for not saving money this year for summer tour. I've got two shows, hope i get some of the goodies they've been busting out.
  18. that they are, last night featured Aoxomoxa and Live Dead, thats right, two St.Stephens in one show. Mark Karan sat in for the second set and the encore. Theresa Williams sand Rosemary and at the end of China Cat they teased Rider, I would have though they would have done it as an encore but that wound up being King Bee. All I have to say is damn do I wish I was going to be there tomorrow for Set1: Working Man's Dead, set two: American Beauty. I wonder if the next night will be Wake>Mars and then closing it out with Blues>Mars. I won't be surprised if they don't do Europe 72' o
  19. Bingo, I spend 30 dollars a week at Trader Joe's and eat two meals at home everyday, no problem.
  20. wow, this isnt one bit surprising when you think about it any suggestions on what to say if calling an alderman?
  21. I watched Spike Lee's Bamboozled the other night. Highly recommend, its very hard to watch at times (only because its so disturbingly true), some of the best commentary on race in the mass media and the history of black face.
  22. ummmm..cough....cough...... I mean........weellll....... the way i look at it....... how bout someone shoots me a pm if they have dicks picks 8 i have a question about the last track.
