Cool! I am seeing them in Sept in NYC. Let me know how the show is?!
-
I spent time in Dublin and Belfast and I would highly recommend the side trip to Belfast to see the Murals. That is what I was most impressed with on my trip. You can take a black taxi tour which was very informtaive. In Dublin the visit Grafton St and Killoheim?? Jail. I enjoyed the Jameson tour too.

I would go for Maui! Been to Barbados and it is nice but Hawaii in general is amazing! All three sound like nice choices though so I am sure either way you will be happy!

Hey...Don't know so much about the Carribean but have been to Hawaii. Oahu is beatiful and the flight is not as bad as you may think. Coming from NYC if you connect in LA it would be 2- 5 hour flights. I had a wonderful time in Hawaii and it really was worth the flight time. I heard Kauai was even nicer than Oahu which is hard to imagine because the scenery was just spectacular. They were many deserted beaches in Hawaii that seemed like they came out of a dream. The people were also frienedly, the food was good and people drove on the same side of the street! I think most of Carribean they dri

PIEHOLDEN HOLY CRAP! I am jealous! Now thats a request!

Congrats to you too. I didn't mean to steal any of your thunder since you started the thread. We are trying to be very ambitous for our Honeymoon. I have been saving up time for awhile (Can bank vacation at my company..one of the few perks) and hoping to do Australia/New Zealand for 3 weeks! If we can't wing it job wise we will do Italy/Greece 2 weeks! I figure better do it now before we REALLY have to settledown in life! Any destinations in the running right now for your honeymoon?

Lammycat... I agree with your list but for Tom Petty thats a good picture of him you got there! I would add Thom Yorke to the list also!
-
Cool..I missed the boat for the NYC show. How long did you wait to get in total? That sounds like quite an expierence!
-
I would guess it is the Macrame Owl. They have been asking for Macrame from the audience for awhile and someone gave them that?
-
I think people just hear them from outside the venue. It is easy if they are playing outdoors just hang around and you will probably hear it mid afternoonish. I once heard a Radiohead soundcheck and it was bliss...all songs they didn't play that night I saw them!
-
Not in the slightest because on top of being the smallest show on the tour it was the only nyc area one I couldn't get tickets for But I digress...Wilco this is a setlist! Nice job wish I was there! I am happy for all the Brooklyn show attendes who witnessed this one and I am slightly jealous!

I was rocking out and even clapping to Spiders which I don't like but I think you got what I was trying to say!
-
Yikes...the band is wearing the same clothes again that they wore at the Hammerstein! Same with Low...maybe they need to raise ticket prices so they can afford to do laundry!?
-
We pretty much booked everything already! We move quick!

Hey congrats! I am getting married the same week June 1, 2008 and I am just trying to convince the wife to be to have I'm The Man Who Loves you as one of our songs to be interpreted by the band we hired! Maybe Jeff can do a one week long wedding tour PS I took her to her first Wilco concert this last friday at Red Bank..not her type of music but she still had fun!
-
Just Red Bank and Hammerstein for me. New stuff sounded great live! Enjoy yourself tonight!
-
Ro, Whats up long time no hear! Low got on at 8 played til 845.. Wilco was 9:05-11 ish??
-
Crowds at the Hammerstein are always annoying with Pot Smokers and people on constant beer runs even if you are in the first few rows unfortunatley!
-
I just don't want Wilco to get predictable. I am only seeing them twice this tour and in the second show I knew what was coming next without even trying. Their last 10 song seems to be written in stone. It is frustrating because I know the potential Wilco has. I have seen them maybe twice on every tour since 2000 and this is the first time I think they are in a setlist rut. Wilco concerts should be fun and spontaneous not scripted like a broadway show.

Hate to burst your buble. I asked Glen about Hotel Arizonia because I said I would like to see how he plays the drums in his style on the song and he said..."It is diffinatley my least favorite Wilco song and I make fun of Jeff constantly for writing it!" I thought that was an interesting comment!
-
I felt differently. They are promoting Sky Blue Sky not Yankee or Ghost. Way too many of those songs and way too few Sky Blue Sky (& out of 12 in 2 nights)....where was On and ON, What Light, Either Way???? It seemed very predictable what songs were coming next. Don't get me wrong they played well I just wish they would spice it up with some more new album and different back catelog songs!

It seems like the most common songs as a point of observation on this tour are.... Shot in The Arm Iattbyh War on War Jesus Heavy Metal California Stars Spiders Hummingbird Handshake Drugs Side With Seeds You are My Face Imposible Germany Walken These seem to be played everynight no matter what?
